Caroline Flack has revealed she struggles with her anxiety more when she has free time.

The 39-year-old presenter is currently treading the boards as Roxie Hart in Chicago, but confessed that in between jobs she battles with her mental health.

Appearing on Thursday's Loose Women, the star added that she attends hypnotherapy sessions as a way to keep her mind focused.

She explained: 'Weirdly the anxiety I got more when I'm not working. Work takes away my anxiety, doing live TV takes away anything else. Being on stage I'm less nervous than just being me.'

Revealing that she booked in for a hypnotherapy session for the West End role, she added: ‘When I had eight days to learn the role I went to see him and he put my mind in the right place.

'Everyone's different, if I'm going through a bit of a tough time I can just call him and say "hey can I come over and see you?"'

Caroline will seen be gracing screens over the festive period as she appears in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

The Love Island host won the 2014 series of the dancing show with Pasha Kovalev, but admitted things were different now as she's been out of practise and also has a new partner, Gorka Marquez.

She revealed: 'I was dancing with Pasha, but obviously he went quite far in the competition, so I'm with Gorka the corker.

'It had been long enough a break, four years was quite a long to not be pining over Pasha anymore!'

She continued: 'My flexibility’s gone a bit... I found the ballroom the hardest, when you dance in hold you have to be in time with someone, but when do things like the Charleston you're kind of on your own.'

Revealing that doing Strictly is what inspired her to take on the West End, she added: 'It was weird because it's what I trained to do at college.

'I got into TV and it wasn’t until I did Strictly that I remembered "oh, I love this". It's different, but it's opening up a whole new chapter and finding something new to do.'

Appearing on Thursday’s Loose Women, the star ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
