«Breaking News» Armed police race to quiet street after cyclist, 29, is stabbed to death

Two men have been arrested after a cyclist was pulled from his bike and stabbed in the street.

The 29-year-old man, who was stabbed in Barn Cottage Lane, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, suffered a cardiac arrest in the back of an ambulance as paramedics rushed him to hospital on Friday evening

Detectives said today that they were treating the death as murder and said that a 51-year-old man and a 21-year-old man had both been arrested on suspicion of causing the rider's death.

Police from a major crime team said that they believed the killing was a targetted attack and it was understood that the assailants were in a car and lay in waiting for the cyclist to ride past them.

Paramedics rushed to the scene at 8.20pm after the alarm was raised and found the bike rider lying on the ground in a large pool of blood.

He was given emergency treatment at the scene and put on a stretcher in the ambulance but as the crew travelled through nearby Ditchling Common the victim suffered a cardiac arrested and died on board the 999 vehicle.

Police were called and eventually his body was taken to the mortuary at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where a Home Office pathologist will carry out a post mortem examination to establish exactly how he died.

An inquest is expected to be opened and adjourned after the Christmas break.

It was understood that the ambulance involved was seized for several hours for forensic examination and the paramedics were interviewed by detectives who later handed the case over to the Surrey and Sussex Police Major Crime Team.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
