Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has slammed the show's professional dancers after they threatened to go on strike if they weren't paid more money.
Responding to rumblings that the pros aren't happy with their alleged £50,000-a-series salaries, the judge, 53, has advised they go back to Blackpool and see how they fare there.
'This show puts them in the limelight. If they are doing what they normally do, which is competitive dance up in Blackpool, there would be 500 people interested. There is 12 million people interested in this show,' he said, according to The Sun.

Back to Black[pool]: Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has slammed the show's professional dancers after they threatened to go on strike if they weren't paid more money
'They have all got Twitter accounts and they are all making money on the side doing something else. I think, Isn’t that enough? Go and do Cats for 200 quid a week and then see how you feel.'
The pro dancers - which include the likes of Oti Mabuse, AJ Pritchard, Aljaž Skorjanec and Katya Jones - reportedly take issue with the fact that the judging panel - Craig, Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell - earn an alleged fee of between £150,000 and £250,000 per series.
In response to this, the expert dancers are said to have formed an unofficial union and banded together to demand more money from the BBC.
Each professional is given the same fee, regardless of how many seasons they have appeared on the show.

According to reports: Eeach professional is given the same fee, regardless of how many seasons they have appeared on the show

The pro dancers - which include the likes of [L-R] AJ Pritchard and Katya Jones - reportedly take issue with their lack of a pay rise
A source told The Sun in September: 'The professionals have been talking among themselves and are going to come together to ask Strictly bosses for a pay rise.
'They put in incredible hours rehearsing both with their celebrities and also group routines. A lot of them are putting in 10 hour days which is a lot of dancing.
'It has been on the cards for a long time and they haven't had a payrise in years. They love the show, they just want to feel their money reflects the amount of work they put in and also the celebrity status and profile that comes with it.

Rumblings: Professional dancers have reportedly been talking among themselves to ask Strictly bosses for a pay rise
'Some of them are now almost better known than the celeb contestants and they feel that should lead to more cash — especially when the judges get paid so much just for turning up once a week. Some feel it's a bit of a joke.'
Former dance star Brendan Cole, 42, previously moaned about the pay he was given for appearing on the show.
In 2008, he said he could not afford a house or car.
He said: 'I don't even own my own house that I live in. I can't afford it. I rent where I live.'

Three years ago, judge Bruno Tonioli criticised dancers who moaned about their pay packets.
He said: 'Those are the terms of the negotiations. If you don't like it, stop moaning and f*** off. The BBC will never pay the kind of fees that ITV will pay.
'Strictly has not made me a millionaire. I still live in the same apartment I bought in 1991, before Strictly. But I never moan. The BBC do a wonderful job.'
The current season of Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night on BBC One.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
