«Breaking News» Strictly's Lauren Steadman reveals dancing with AJ Pritchard has made her feel 'sexy'

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Lauren Steadman has credited her pro partner AJ Pritchard with helping her build up her body confidence. 

The Paralympic athlete, who was born missing her lower right arm, admitted that she feels 'sexy' for the first time, and has learnt to embrace her disability rather than attempt to hide it.  

Speaking to The Sun, Lauren, 25, confessed: 'I have been self-conscious my whole life with my arm.'

She continued: 'As a child I was always the one that stood out. But, credit to AJ for this, he has made me face a fear and be really, really proud of myself and my body. 

'We'll do moves and he'll be like, "No, you can be sexy", and he's helped me fall in love with myself for the first time.' 

Lauren has never found herself in the bottom two, but was bottom of the leaderboard last weekend after scoring just 23 for her Salsa and coming last in the Lindy-Hop-A-Thon.

The scoring of the Lindy-Hop-A-Thon caused controversy last weekend, and was met with 'fix' claims from fans after head judge Shirley Ballas confused Karen Clifton for Dianne Buswell during a technical mishap

Yet show judge Craig Revel Horwood has clarified the rumours as he revealed that the blunder came about as their iPad had stopped working, forcing the panel to read off paper.

During an appearance on Monday's Good Morning Britain, the dancer, 53, told hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan: 'Very simply the tablet went down that Shirley had to read from.' 

On the BBC competition series, Shirley, 58, read the Lindy-hopathon scores off a 'blank' piece of paper following a technical blunder.

At one point, the head judge confused Karen for fellow pro Dianne when reading out the scores.

Speaking about the mishap, Craig explained: 'Of course, as a back up, it’s my job on the panel to write the names in order as they're selected.

'I give that to the floor manger, that's very normal. It's happened every year we’ve done a ’thon. He takes a picture that’s sent to the gallery.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
