«Breaking News» I'm A Celebrity: Rebekah Vardy claims show is 'fake'

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is back, keeping the nation gripped for the next three weeks.

And Rebekah Vardy has now spilled the beans on life in the Australian camp, hinting the programme is 'fake' and revealing producers even tell contestants when to shower and what to talk about.

The WAG, 36, who took part in last year's edition of the ITV reality show, also said she was shocked at how many cameras are present in the camp.

Rebekah also claimed they re-shoot some scenes several times, including when the stars cross the bridge heading to their Bushtucker Trials.

Quizzed what surprised her the most about the show, Becky told heat magazine: 'How edited it is, even down to us walking to the trials. We had to do that walk three or four times.'

She also alleged group discussion scenes were pre-planned, with producers suggesting a topic to talk about around the fire.

'Any time that you see people sat around the fire, usually someone’s been called to the Bush Telegraph and comes out with a bit of paper and says, "We all need to discuss this topic".'

An I'm A Celebrity spokesperson told MailOnline: 'What viewers see on screen is a fair and accurate representation of life in camp.'

In 2007, former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren made the senstional claim he quit I'm A Celeb because the series is was a 'fake'.

The star, who pulled out just hours before he was due to go into the jungle, denied rumours he left because he was fightened of insects and spiders.

He said at the time: 'It's a nonsense to say I quit over a spider. The reality is their jungle is a glorified film set.

'The whole show is a circus. I was shocked to hear I was never going to be in any danger.'

The Daily Mail's Alison Boshoff previously exposed some of the weird, wonderful and not-so-wild secrets of the show.

The waterfall celebrities are seen showering under in swimwear is fitted with an on/off switch.

Not only is it man-made, it’s actually switched off between 3pm and 6pm every day to conserve water.

A show source explains that some features have been created ‘because they don’t naturally occur where one would like them to’.

One of the main tasks of the day — which can take camp-mates most of a morning — is collecting wood for the fire.

But while the show’s celebrities might like to see themselves as hunter-gatherers, the wood has been dried and chopped up in advance, then strewn over a wide area by TV crews so the stars can be sent to find it.

Sources close to the show explain that they can’t allow the celebrities to be let loose with an axe, and also need to protect the fauna and forest habitat from ignoramus campers.

Some of the rocks are fake and crafted out of fibreglass - created to hide some of the 99 cameras dotted around the campsite.

As for the bugs, they’re actually bred by an animal specialist in a bug factory and bought by the show.

Around 250,000 cockroaches, 153,000 crickets, 500,000 meal worms, 400 spiders, 500 rats, and 30 snakes are used for each series.

Meanwhile, viewers seem far from disappointed that Holly Willoughby has replaced Ant McPartlin in the jungle.

Nearly 12million tuned in to see her team up with Declan Donnelly in the first major shake-up in I’m A Celebrity’s 16-year history.

Sunday night’s show drew a peak of 11.9million, the fourth largest for a series launch and 700,000 up on last year.

The average audience of 11million made it the most watched programme of the year, excluding the World Cup.

It beat the 8.7million average for May’s wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the 10.4million who tuned in for the finale of BBC drama The Bodyguard.

Viewers praised the immediate chemistry between Donnelly, 43, and Miss Willoughby, 37.

But many also pointed to the glamour brought to the show by the This Morning presenter.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
