«Breaking News» Tests confirm kids' makeup from Claire's contains ASBESTOS - but the company refuses to issue recall

U.S. regulators have warned people not to use certain Claire's makeup products after samples tested positive for cancer-causing asbestos.

The accessories retailer disputed the findings of the Food and Drug Administration and has refused regulators' request for a recall of the contaminated products.

Those affected are Claire’s Eye Shadows, Batch/Lot No.: 08/17; Claire’s Compact Powder, Batch/Lot No.: 07/15; and Claire’s Contour Palette, Batch/Lot No: 04/17.

Claire’s noted in a statement that it removed the three products in question from its stores 'out of an abundance of caution,' and will also be removing any remaining talc-based cosmetics.

But the jewelry and cosmetics maker claims the FDA’s test results have incorrectly identified fibers in its products as asbestos.

A Claire's spokesperson said the company tried to explain the issue to the FDA, but the agency issued its warning anyway, according to the Associated Press.

The FDA said it conducted this latest round of tests after receiving reports of asbestos in products sold by Claire’s and Justice about 14 months ago.

In December of 2017, the Scientific Analytical Institute in North Carolina found asbestos in Claire's glitter makeup kits, WKBN reported.

'Consumers who have these batches/lots of Claire’s Eye Shadow, Compact Powder, and Contour in their home should stop using them,' the FDA said in a statement.

The AP notes that asbestos fibers can get stuck in the lungs and cause cancer.

The FDA said asbestos 'is a known carcinogen' with well-documented health risks, but added that it hasn't received any reports of Claire's makeup making anyone sick.

'The FDA is not aware of any adverse reactions associated with exposure to these Claire’s products,' the agency said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
