Stan Walker has posted a heartfelt tribute to his late Australian Idol co-star Kate Cook, who was found dead on Monday.
Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday, the reality TV show winner revealed his 'heart is broken' over the news of Kate's passing.
The 28-year-old singer shared a number of photos of the pair together, writing alongside one: 'She was one heart lady yet had a voice that soothed even the saddest of souls.'

'Me and Cookie did Aus Idol 10 years ago together and from the moment I met her, I knew I wanted to be mates with her... she was rugged and hori like me, but in a different way but the same,' Stan recalled in his lengthy tribute.
'She was an honest, beautiful and hearty soul... she became family. Family to my family and we had created a new family together through Idol.
'I will never forget our times together and how those times and bonds made then was actually the beginning of who I was to become now.'
Stan added that although Instagram couldn't do justice to the way he felt, he wanted his followers to know how much Kate meant to him.
'You, my friend, were very apart of the foundation of who I am and why I do what I do... Not only for that, but just because. I love you my friend... I will miss you... My heart is broken for you.'

It was a sentiment echoed by several of Kate's other Australian Idol co-stars on Tuesday who shared their sadness in the wake of her death.
'She was such a beautiful and kind-hearted soul and as I think all of us are realising now she helped so many of us deal with our own personal issues,' Nathan Brake told Daily Mail Australia.
He added: 'It's just heartbreaking.'

Another season seven top 12 contestant, Scott Newnham, was also devastated by the news.
'Kate really helped me when I was struggling with some mental health issues around six years ago,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
'And it just sucks to think she couldn't call me and I could do the same for her.'

On Monday, Casey Barnes posted selfies and throwback snaps of himself with Kate and revealed he was 'gutted' over the loss.
'Absolutely devastated to hear of your passing today Cookie. This is the Kate Cook I remember and loved,' he wrote.
'We were only just talking about trying to organise a ten year Idol reunion later this year... you were a breath of fresh air and such a beautiful person inside & out. Hope you’re up there with your Mum now mate. Love ya.'

Kate, 36 was last seen wandering off into the bush near her home in Lowood, Queensland on Sunday night before her body was discovered 500 metres into bushland the following morning.

Kate's mother took her own life in the year 2000. Kate and her younger sister were the ones who found her body, she revealed during her audition.
Police are not treating Kate's death as suspicious.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
