«Breaking News» Jordan Peele says black actors will always take center stage in his movies

Acclaimed director Jordan Peele says he will not be casting white leads in his movies for the foreseeable future.

Peele, who followed up his first feature length film 'Get Out' with the newly released 'Us', again hired a majority black cast for the production, and told an audience at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, in east Hollywood, that he was privileged to do so.

'I get to cast black people in my movies,' The Hollywood Reporter reported.

'I feel fortunate to be in this position where I can say to Universal - "I want to make a $20 million horror movie with a black family" - and they say yes.'

Adding: 'I don't see myself casting a white dude as the lead in my movie.'

Peele, 40, who's debut 'Get Out' earned him an Academy Award nomination for best director and won him the original screenplay gong, elaborated on why he would focus on only giving a diverse line-up of actors leading roles.

He said: 'Not that I don't like white dudes, but I've seen that movie.

'It really is one of the best, greatest pieces of this story, is feeling like we are in this time — a renaissance has happened and proved the myths about representation in the industry are false.'

Peele also described how he learned to listen to his ego — and to turn down the volume.

'You have to shelve it,' he said. 'You have to check it constantly. It's so easy for it to come out and rear its ugly head.'  Adding: 'The ego is deceptive and it will screw you up.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
