«Breaking News» Body of Irishman is found tied up in Malaysian apartment beside cryptic note

The bloodstained body of an Irishman was discovered on Monday evening after he was hit with a frying pan and stabbed in the stomach before having his throat slashed, police say.

Brian Patrick O’Reilly, 50, who worked as an IT technician for Singapore-based firm First Lookout Marketing, was found in his flat in George Town, Penang, Malaysia, where he reportedly moved only two weeks ago for his job.

A property agent discovered the body of Mr O'Reilly, whose hands and feet were tied up, along with a cryptic handwritten note which police believe was left by his killer.

The message was written on a page which appeared to be torn from the popular self-help book The Subtle Art Of Not Giving a F***.

It read: 'I respected the Police & Still Do But Justice Sometimes has to be Gained. I Hate you Mafia Kiling Scamers, I Love My Girl.'

Officers have launched a murder investigation and said they believe Mr O'Reilly was killed in a revenge attack after allegedly tricking the suspect's younger sibling out of some money with a scamming syndicate, the Sun Daily reported.

George Town police chief Che Zaimani Che Awang said: 'A check of the man’s home found a safe in one of the rooms had been ransacked and there were signs of a struggle.'

A property manager sent by Mr O’Reilly's employer to check his living conditions and fix the air-conditioning in the Irishman's office had been failing to get hold of the IT technician since Saturday.

When the property agent first knocked on the door, a man described as fair-skinned answered, informing the manager that Mr O'Reilly was unable to be seen as he was unwell.

But when the property agent returned Monday evening with a locksmith, Mr O'Reilly's bloodstained body was discovered in the master bedroom.

CCTV footage shows Mr O'Reilly entering his building's lift with three other men on Friday evening, with all four leaving the property a few minutes later.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a man - believed to be the suspect -registered to enter the unit before leaving the building in an Audi at around 12pm.

'The deceased is believed to have been dead for less than 24 hours before he was found,' Mr Che Zaimani told The Straits Times

Officers have conducted a forensic investigation at the scene, lifting fingerprints and DNA samples.

A postmortem was due to be carried out Tuesday.

No arrests have been made so far and the case is being investigated for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

A spokesperson for Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said: 'The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is aware of the case and stands ready to provide consular assistance.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
