The wife of White House Communications Chief Bill Shine was ridiculed on social media for claiming that childhood diseases like measles 'keep you healthy and fight cancer.'
Darla Shine caused a furor after she tweeted a series of bizarre comments on childhood vaccinations amid a measles outbreak which is currently sweeping the country.
Shine, whose husband joined the Trump administration last year, claimed that her kids 'sadly' received the MMR vaccine so they 'do not have the lifelong natural immunity' that she has because she didn't receive the shot.

'I had the #Measles #Mumps #ChickenPox as a child and so did every kid I knew - Sadly my kids had #MMR so they will never have the life long natural immunity I have,' before adding, 'Come breathe on me!.'
She called out CNN for reporting 'fake news' on the current measles outbreak in certain parts of the country, even though they cited figures from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and cited advice from public health officials.
Shine later tweeted: ' Here we go LOL #measlesoutbreak on #CNN #fake #hysteria. 'The entire Baby Boom population alive today had the #Measles as kids. Bring back our #ChildhoodDiseases they keep you healthy & fight cancer.
Darla Shine continued to defend her stance throughout the day as she faced criticism on social media.
'I had the measles, that was the whole point of my tweet. I have life time natural immunity,' she tweeted.
The CDC reports nearly all children in the decade before 1963 had measles by the time they were 15 years old and about three to four million people were infected each year.
Her tweets generated hundreds of comments throughout the day with the majority of social media users expressing incredulity at her purporting to promote childhood diseases which can prove fatal without vaccines.
Shine, who writes a blog page called 'Darla Shine's Happy Housewives Club, received a backlash for her anti-vaxxer comments and claiming that she had immunity because she had measles, mumps and chicken pox
She was responding to reports about the current measles outbreak in pockets of the country
One user called Roman Baird responded: 'Well you were lucky. Lucky you aren't deaf. Lucky you didn't contract encephalitis also. (Oh you still can) I had mumps too. I'm sterile. Because mumps.
'Rafts of peer reviewed scientific data or hair on fire conspiracy theories? I'll rely on fact based evidence, thank you.'
Many cited reputable public health statistics which show a large drop in childhood deaths attributable to the MMR vaccine.

Another user Phil Zopinion claimed: 'Immunization has had a major impact on reducing measles deaths. During 2000-2013, measles vaccination prevented an estimated 15.6 million deaths.'
Federal health officials have identified more measles cases, bringing the total nationwide number to 101, latest figures show.
So far, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says there are confirmed cases in 10 US states since January 1.
Cases have been confirmed in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
Of those states, four - Colorado, Oregon, Texas and Washington - allow exemptions for philosophical and/or personal beliefs.

Washington and New York, particularly, have been struggling to contain the disease that was considered eliminated 20 years in ago.
Last month, Washington declared a public health emergency after a measles outbreak that has affected 53 people in Clark County.
Shine further argued at one point that 'many' of the people contracting the disease in Washington had received the MMR vaccine.

Measles is a highly contagious infection which is now rare due to the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine. Symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose and a total-body skin rash
While people who contract measles do have a lifelong immunity, so do nearly all of the people who receive the MMR vaccine.
The CDC recommends that children get two doses of the MMR vaccine: one at 12-15 months old and another at 4 to 6 years old. After one dose, the vaccine is 93% effective; after two doses, it is 97% effective -- for the duration of someone's life.
The vaccine is about 97 percent effective. But those who are unvaccinated have a 90 percent chance of catching measles if they breathe the virus in, the CDC says.
Before the measles vaccine was available, more than 500,000 cases were diagnosed in the US every year, with about 500 annual deaths.

In 2018, 372 cases of measles were confirmed in 26 states and the District of Columbia, the CDC reported.

She claimed she always wanted to 'have a big career' but once she gave birth to her son she was 'lucky to be at home' with her children.
In a bio section she writes: 'I want women to realize they can accomplish any thing right from their home. They don’t have to choose between their education and their baby. Whatever you were doing you can do from your home.
'I am helping housewives build their own businesses right from their kitchen.'
She is a former TV reporter and producer and also hosted a radio show in 2009.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
