«Breaking News» Taxi driver, 29, who claimed drunk female customer fell on him is convicted of rape

A taxi driver who raped a sleeping customer in his cab claimed that she fell on him while his trousers were unbuttoned.

Sick cabbie Ferham Khan picked up woman, who is in her early 30s around 1am after she enjoyed a night out with friends.

On the journey home, 29-year-old Khan, believing the woman to be asleep in his car, pulled over in an unknown location and launched a horrific sexual attack on her which she says has 'destroyed' her life.

After the attack he phoned police to complain he had an unconscious woman in his car and he 'wanted her removed'.

But, astonishingly, when questioned by officers Khan, of Southampton, Hampshire, claimed the attack was an 'accident' and 'the woman had fallen on him whilst he had his trousers unbuttoned'.

A court heard married Khan sexually abused the woman and orally raped her. He has now been jailed for 12 years.

The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, froze in fear and when Khan believed she passed out through having too much drink he 'had to audacity' to call police to complain about her.

Police and paramedics arrived and his traumatised victim was then able to disclose her ordeal.

He later admitted this was a lie, claiming he was concerned his wife would find out he had a sexual encounter with another woman.

A jury heard Khan said the situation was consensual, claiming the victim 'started touching him first' and even suggested that she 'did it for a cheaper fare'.

Khan denied rape but jurors at Southampton Crown Court delivered a unanimous verdict after a seven-day trial.

The woman, who called for a taxi to get home, said Khan 'shattered her world into pieces' by raping her after he picked up in Winchester, Hampshire at around 1am in September 2017.

She said in a victim impact statement: 'On that night, I did as any young woman would. I went out with friends and I took a taxi home.

'What happened in the taxi destroyed me. That man shattered my world into tiny pieces.

'The pain and suffering I have endured because of what he did to me has left me broken.

'I don't know who I am anymore, this man has stripped me of my identity.'

She added: 'At the moment I am simply surviving, I take each day as it comes and pray that one day I will feel like me again and be able to start living.'

Police staff investigator Joanne Parr-Daniels, of Hampshire Constabulary, said: 'The bravery and strength we have seen in this woman is commendable.

'Khan turned her life upside down that night 17 months ago. We are so impressed with her courage.

'No matter how traumatic this has been for her and continues to be, she has supported this protracted and a complex investigation of rape.

'Without her would not have been able to get Khan to face justice for what he did.

'I hope now this sentence means she will be able to move forward with her life.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
