«Breaking News» Shoppers kick up a stink as Gucci markets £615 trainers

Shoppers have hit out at Italian designer brand Gucci for putting a £615 price tag on  a pair of filthy-looking trainers.

The men's Screener sneakers have scuffs, marks and come in a range of stained colours. 

According to Gucci they 'reference old school shapes and materials inspired by vintage sportswear'.

On its website listing for the trainers, Gucci said: 'Influenced by classic trainers from the 70s, these sneakers mix leather with canvas, featuring the Web stripe and Gucci vintage logo, treated for an allover distressed effect.'

But one shopper said: 'I've seen it all now, an eye-watering price-tag for a pair of dirty trainers. 

The men's Screener sneakers have scuffs, marks and come in a range of stained colours.

The Rhyton trainer, a chunky tennis shoe, which also looks dirty, comes at the same price. 

Gucci was accused of racism last week over a women's balaclava jumper with a red-outlined cut-out at the mouth, described  by the fashion house as looking like 'blackface.'

Gucci has now removed the jumper for sale.

The Rhyton trainer which also appear dirty and is a chunky tennis shoe, also comes at the same price.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
