«Breaking News» Kate Bosworth sparkles in a yellow gown with a dramatic train at the Vanity Fair Oscars party

She's been a fixture on the party circuit for the whole of Oscars weekend.

But Kate Bosworth well and truly saved the best until last as she attended the Vanity Fair Academy Awards party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills on Sunday night.

The actress, 36, exuded classic movie star glamour as she sparkled down the red carpet in a canary yellow gown with a dramatic train by Cong Tri.

The Still Alice star's semi-sheer dress was intricately beaded and featured a trailing detail from one shoulder.

Kate teamed her beautiful ensemble with towering Jimmy Choo sandals and a small gold box clutch bag.

Wearing her blonde locks scraped back from her face in a sleek up-do, the actress accessorised with a pair of oversize gold earrings and a matching ring by David Webb.

The Before I Wake star opted for natural make-up, aside from a sweep of glittering gold eyeshadow, to showcase her stunning features as she worked her magic in front of the cameras.

Inside the bash, Kate looked as though she was having a ball as she mingled with the likes of model Ashley Graham, 31, and actress Zoe Kravitz, 30.

Posting a smouldering snap of her party look on her Instagram page, the actress wrote: 'Not so mellow yellow. Tonight's full look for #VFOscars. @congtriofficial this dress is beyond!'

Prior to hitting the Vanity Fair red carpet, Kate gave her Instagram followers a rundown on her glam preparations ahead of the star-studded occasion.

In a series of posts on her Story, the star told her fans 'it's amazing the difference it makes' to her posture when she performs a few simple shoulder stretches.

It was a night of relative surprises at the 91st Academy Awards, with Green Book scooping the top honour, Best Picture, over hot favourite Roma.

Olivia Colman was named Best Actress for her role as Queen Anne in The Favourite and apologised to fellow nominee Glenn Close in her acceptance speech.

She said: 'You've been my idol for so long, and this is not how I wanted it to be. I think you're amazing. I love you very much.'

Rami Malek took home Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, which scooped a total of four prizes on the night.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
