«Breaking News» History teacher turned drug gang member is caught by police

A former history teacher who became a drug dealer and went on the run after getting caught up in a county lines gang has been arrested.

Angela Davey's life spiralled out of control as she descended into drug abuse after the break up of her marriage.

The now-38-year-old became homeless and destitute after selling her £280,000 house and running up a string of debts to fund her Class A habit.

The mother-of-two then became one of Norfolk's police's ten most wanted people when she went on the run, having admitted dealing cocaine for a county lines gang in October.

Davey has been now caught by London's Met Police and faces a jail term for her role in the drugs gang.

The once hard-working history teacher is said to have been 'coerced' into taking hard drugs by a man she met on dating app Tinder.

Three fellow members of her county lines gang have been jailed for a total of 11 years. 

But Davey did not show up in court to be sentenced for her part in a conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

She has been brought back to Norwich and is due to appear before the city’s magistrates today.

She was also wanted for breaching a court order imposed by Norwich magistrates on August 9 last year. 

Her father David Wilkes, 65, said earlier this week: 'The Angela Davey the police are looking for is not the Angela Davey who is my daughter. She is a loving, caring mother.'

Mr Wilkes said her life changed with the collapse of her marriage. 'She was absolutely devastated,' he added. 

'Her whole world crashed down around her. We believe she was vulnerable at the time all this happened. Her whole persona changed. She lost control of everything.' 

Davey was arrested for dealing cocaine last February when she was living in a camper van.

She admitted the charge at Norwich Crown Court on October 15, by which time she was sleeping in a tent.

Her gang was targeted in a major police operation which tackled county lines crime, where drugs are shipped from cities to smaller towns - often by vulnerable people coerced into becoming mules and small-time dealers.

Richard Potts, prosecuting, told Norwich Crown Court on Monday that the phone line Mrs Davey's associates used to peddle drugs had sent out 'bulk text messages' to hundreds of addicts.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
