«Breaking News» Body of ‘healthy mother-of-two’, 28, is discovered by her devastated parents on New Year's Day

A previously healthy mother-of-two was found dead on New Year's Day - leaving her six-year-old daughter to ask if she can 'call mummy in heaven'.

Ashley Grundy, 28, was discovered at her home in Harrow, north London by her devastated parents Ash Selector, 54, and Sarah Grundy, 51, after deciding not to go out and celebrate the end of 2018 because she was 'not feeling well'.

Her parents were dropping Ashley's daughter Lailani, six, and her son Maverick, three, to her house in Harrow when they discovered the 28-year-old's body upstairs.

Heartbroken Sarah has revealed how Lailani is asking several questions about her mother, including if she can call her in heaven.

Ash and Sarah shared how they've had to explain their mother's death to the young children.

Speaking to the Sun, Sarah said: 'We just told Lailani that mummy died and went to heaven. She said ''can I phone her?''

'I had to say, no they don't have phones up in heaven. She doesn't comprehend it.'

Police say they are not treating Ashley's passing as suspicious but an initial post-mortem failed to find the cause of death and further tests will take 10 weeks to shed light on what happened.

Ashley's parents have now set-up a GoFundMe page to try and raise money for the children she has left behind

Sarah, who lives in Stanmore with husband Ash, also revealed how they had last heard from Ashley on the evening of December 31.

They asked her to join them in celebrating the New Year but she declined, saying that she was feeling under the weather and wanted a quiet night in.

Her children were being looked after by her former partner at the time.

Ash and Sarah then tried to contact their daughter to wish her a happy new year, but couldn't get through, leading them to assume she had gone out or the lines were busy.

However, they then went to drop off the kids at Ashley's home at about 7pm on New Year's Day and discovered the house closed up.

They were forced to drag Ashley's children away as they discovered her body upstairs and called the police.

Paying tribute to her daughter, Sarah said: 'She was bubbly, outrageous, stubborn, outgoing.'

And father Ash added: 'She was always there for other people. People would go through things and she was always the shoulder to cry on.'

Her children are now being cared for by their father Charlie.

A Met Police spokesperson said: 'Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 19:13hrs on Tuesday, 1 January to reports of a woman found unresponsive at an address on Sidney Road, Harrow.

'She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

'At this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
