«Breaking News» Wanda Sykes, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Tiffany Haddish top list of Oscar hosts

A slew of talented and funny ladies are being suggested as possible Oscar hosts in  the wake of Kevin  Hart's exit last week.

Among those topping the list are Wanda Sykes and two dynamic duos who have showed their abilities at past awards shows - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph and Tiffany Haddish.

The latter were standouts at the 2017 ceremony, with their appearance n=bringing some much needed energy and laughs to the very long and lagging telecast.

Others are calling for Maya Rudolph and Tiffany Haddish to return to the Oscar stage (above at the 2017 Oscars)

'*whispers into the universe* "Can Maya Rudolph host the Oscars now?"' wrote one fan.

'Just give us @TiffanyHaddish and @MayaRudolph like we asked for, you cowards!!' read another.

'Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler for the Oscars hosting gig.... IF they won’t let Team Cockroach do it...' wrote actress Jameela Jamil of The Good Place.

And Sykes herself weighed in, writing: 'I think Siri and Alexa should host the Oscars.'  

Hart stepped down on Thursday from hosting the 2019 Oscar ceremony after 'insensitive words' about gays he tweeted in the past resurfaced online as well as links to him making offensive comments in his standup show.

He was offered the chance to keep his job if he apologized, but he refused to do so at the time. 

'I passed on the apology. The reason why I passed is because I’ve addressed this several times,; said Hart. 

'This is not the first time this has come up. I’ve addressed it. I’ve spoken on it. I’ve said where the rights and wrongs were. I’ve said who I am now versus who I was then. I’ve done it. I’ve done it. I’m not going to continue to go back and tap into the days of old, when I’ve moved on and I’m in a completely different space in my life.'

He continued: 'The same energy that went into finding those old tweets could be the same energy put into finding the response to the questions that have been asked years after years after years. We’re feeding the internet trolls and we reward them. I’m not going to do it, man. I’m going to be me and stand my ground.'

Ther 39-year-old actor later changed his tune and offered an apology. 

'I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's ... this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists,' Hart said in a tweet.

'I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.'

In one of the old tweets, Hart described an actor's picture as a 'gay billboard for AIDS.

Another tweet, and bit from his standup show, involved the comedian saying that if his son were playing with a doll's house, he would break it over his head and tell him to stop being gay.

That tweet resurfaced at the same time court records were unsealed in the murder case of Anthony Avalos, who was dropped on his head and burned with cigarettes by his mother and boyfriend after telling them he was gay.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
