«Breaking News» Union J star JJ Hamblett's ex Caterina Lopez BLASTS him for 'abandoning' their son Princeton, 4

JJ Hamblett's ex Caterina Lopez has claimed that he does not see his young son - who recently underwent his fourth brain surgery. 

The American actress, 29, has revealed on social media that she is a 'single mother' and the sole provider for five-year-old son Princeton, who suffers from a rare brain condition.

In a series of fiery social media posts, Lopez has hit back at the Union J star - stating that he 'doesn't deserve to call himself a parent after abandoning his child.'

Caterina's Instagram and Twitter accounts are solely dedicated to her sweet son Princeton, who heartbreakingly underwent his fourth life-threatening procedure in August in New York.

The brunette has also utilised her online platforms to speak out against her ex JJ, with her pinned tweet claiming she is taking action against him. 

Her tweet read: 'This year I will be advocating for stricter laws against parents who abandon their children especially parents who abandon their children that are chronically ill or have a disability. 

'If you bring a child into this world it should be your #1 priority to take care of your child.'

In another emotional tweet, which saw Princeton on a hospital bed, Caterina stated: 'Always fight for your child especially when no one else is fighting for them.

'If you choose to abandon your child when they are sick you don’t deserve to call yourself a “parent “. Always choose your children and their health over anything else in your life.'

MailOnline has contacted representatives for JJ for further comment.  

In September, Caterina detailed the realities of living with a young child with an illness.

Posting alongside a sweet clip of the two cuddling, she wrote: 'When one of the top Pediatric Brain Surgeons in the world decided to perform brain surgeries on my 4 year old son, I urgently flew to New York in July on my own with a sick kid and one suitcase. 

'I had no place to stay, no money and no family in New York but I did have a mission to have Dr.Greenfield get my son better again. 

'So far my mission is working and we are now getting ready for Princeton’s 4th brain surgery which I am confident will be successful. Always fight for your children.. #motherhood #princetonjalexander #brainsurgery.'  

The pair first split in April 2016, with a source at the time claiming she blocked him from all social media after she found out about his reported fling with Casey Batchelor.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
