TripAdvisor has revealed its most-booked-attractions ranking for 2018, and it’s Rome’s Colosseum and the Vatican Museums that come first and second, with the Statue of Liberty third and the UK’s Stonehenge in eighth place.
The list was produced following analysis of the travel site’s 140,000 bookable tours and activities.
The rest of the world top 10 list is made up of the Louvre Museum in Paris (fourth), the Eiffel Tower in Paris (fifth), the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona (sixth), the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (seventh), France's Palace of Versailles (ninth) and Canal Grande in Venice (10th).

The UK's most booked attraction is Stonehenge, one of the most important prehistoric monuments in the world
The top ranking Colosseum, a former gladiator arena, is almost 2,000 years old and was built to hold more than 50,000 spectators.
The Vatican Museums harbour a huge collection of art amassed by popes over hundreds of years - including significant examples of Roman sculpture and Renaissance art. By gallery space, it's the fifth-largest art museum in the world.
Third-placed Lady Liberty, recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy, has stood in New York's harbour since 1886. She was a gift of friendship from France.
Meanwhile, top-rated UK attraction Stonehenge is one of the most important prehistoric monuments in the world. It's formed of rough-cut stones, arranged in two concentric circles, and has been captivating travellers for centuries.
The fourth most popular attraction in the world-wide ranking is the Louvre Museum in Paris
The Eiffel Tower, pictured, took fifth place on the TripAdvisor ranking. It is the second Paris attraction in the top 10
TripAdvisor also produced a list of the 10 most popular UK attractions.
Following Stonehenge is the Tower of London in second place then Scotland's Loch Ness in third.
The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland comes fourth followed by Edinburgh Castle in fifth.
The only Spanish attraction to make it into the top 10 worldwide ranking is the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona
The rest of the top ten is made up of the London Eye (sixth), the River Thames (seventh), Buckingham Palace (eighth), Stirling Castle (ninth) and London's Churchill War Rooms (10th).
TripAdvisor spokesperson Hayley Coleman said: 'Experiences bookings continued to grow this year and we’re seeing travellers to the UK heading further afield to discover the country beyond London’s famed attractions.
'For the many travellers who still wish to see London’s iconic sites, skip-the-line and special access tours, like a Beefeater Tour of the Tower of London or a Champagne Experience at the London Eye, are great options to put a twist on any visit to these world famous spots.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
