«Breaking News» Strictly champion Stacey Dooley LOST her coveted Glitterball trophy at boozy afterparty

She was overcome with emotion when she was awarded the coveted Glitterball Trophy last weekend. 

Yet Strictly Come Dancing champion Stacey Dooley managed to misplace the award as she partied with her fellow stars and dancers during the boozy afterparty last Saturday. 

The broadcaster, 31, was left frantically scrabbling around the room trying to find it, before using the group WhatsApp to ask if anyone had seen it.

Dr Ranj - who was eliminated in week seven - revealed the mishap on The Telegraph's Talking Strictly podcast, confessing that he may have been responsible.

He said: 'Here's a little secret… so after the after party, I may have snuck a picture with Stacey's trophy.

'Then there was a message on the WhatsApp group yesterday saying, "Has anyone seen my trophy? I left it in the room with all the bags and now I can't find it".'

Luckily, Stacey was able  to hunt down the missing award, with Dr Ranj saying: 'I think it was put away for safe keeping.'

Stacey was crowned the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 champion alongside Kevin Clifton during last week's grand finale. 

Kevin and Stacey proved to be a match made in heaven, with the pair being favourites to win the show from an early stage - despite never achieving a perfect score or topping the leaderboard.

Following their win, Kevin discussed their chemistry on This Morning, as he revealed: 'When you get asked who's your ideal partner, it's never really the priority to be an amazing dancer, it's about getting on with someone.

'Stacey was the ultimate dream partner. We worked 14 hours days, we upped our hours from eight in the morning to ten at night.'

Meanwhile, Stacey gave an insight into the goings on at the wrap party, as she admitting she partied until 5am.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
