Finver's firing from Horizion Health was confirmed by Anne Constantino, the organization's president and CEO.

'We are disappointed by the news,' Christina Pearl, a spokesperson for Horizon, told the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal of the charges against the consultant.

'At all times, our patients remain the top priority. We are monitoring this situation, and working to ensure that our patients are well cared for.'

The doctor is currently a member of the faculty of the University at Buffalo's Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and is touted as 'an expert on substance abuse and recovery,' according to his profile on the school's website.

He also has a practice at UBMD Family Medicine that is 'focused on treating patients with substance dependency and on preventing addiction.'

'The university is aware of Dr. Finver's arrest and is gathering more information,' UB spokesperson John Della Contrada said in a written statement, adding that Finver's only role at the school is as a faculty member.

'At this time, the university has no reason to believe that the charges are related to Dr. Finver's duties at the university. The university has a process in place to address instances where an employee is accused of a crime. We will take necessary steps to respond, with the understanding that all people accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.'

Finver's arrest came about following an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Kevin Kelly, and the US Postal Inspection Service, under the direction of Boston Division Inspector-in-Charge Joseph W. Cronin.

Following news of his arrest, Finver was fired from his position as medical director of Horizon Health and Renaissance Addiction Services. Finver appeared before US Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer, was charged, and has been released on conditions while he awaits trial

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers intercepted a padded mailer addressed to Finver's home in Hamburg residence on November 21 which contained a white powdery substance that field tested as positive for cocaine, Assistant US Attorney Patricia Astorga said.

After a CBP K-9 alerted officers to the package which had been sent from Germany, a check of law enforcement databases revealed that the sender information was fictitious.

The package contained three grams of the substance.

Then, on December 10, postal inspectors in Rochester, New York became aware of package addressed to Finver's home in Hamburg, which a K-9 alerted to after sniffing it.

A search warrant was executed on that parcel on December 12, and it was found to contain three small envelopes with a brown, rock-like substance, which field tested positive for heroin.

Two more similar parcels addressed to Finver were located on December 12 and 15, with one in Rochester, and one in Hamburg.

After obtaining a search warrant for one of the parcels, it was found to contain a subtance suspected to be cocaine.

The second parcel is currently in the custody of law enforcement.

After these developments, a controlled delivery was conducted at Finver’s hom on Monday.

Law enforcement officers replaced the cocaine that was seized from the first parcel with a decoy substance, and an officer knocked on the door, which Finver answered.

Finver took the parcel into the home, and officers then executed a federal search warrant of the residence. Finver was then subsequently taken into custody.

Finver appeared before US Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer, was charged, and has been released on conditions while he awaits trial.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
