Stuck for a last-minute gift for a loved one? Just trust in the power of the stars. That’s right, by using astrology to forecast what is in store for the various star signs, we can pick out the perfect present.
In the guide below, I aim to help you understand what your loved ones will be going through in 2019, and, as a result, what they would love to find in their stocking.
A tip: if you really want to get it right for the person you’re shopping for, make sure to read the advice for their rising sign, as well as for their star sign.
What’s the difference? Your star sign (or sun sign) is dictated by your date of birth, as it depends on where the sun sits in the sky on that day.
Your rising sign, referring to which of the 12 zodiac signs were ‘rising’ on the Eastern horizon when you were born, is more personal, based as it is not just your date of birth, but also the time and place. To find out your or someone else’s rising sign, visit moonmessages.com/freechart
ARIES (Mar 21 - Apr 20) Pillow spray
Some smelling salts might do the trick! I’m not joking. As 2019 begins, Aries folk are at the very end of a long cycle which has made life feel like a roller coaster. They need all the steadying they can get.
If smelling salts seem a bit outdated, how about some calming lavender oil? They need to relax and a few drops on their pillow will help them sleep. By the time March rolls around, life will settle down, but right now they need your support — and a calming gift!

TAURUS (Apr 21 - May 21) Passport holder
Taurus folk are ready to have their horizons expanded. If you can whisk them away, the farther the better. But a mini-break or even a house-swap would work, too.
Similarly, anything that expands their mind should make them happy. That could be a book they’ll enjoy, a trip to the flicks or a membership of your local cinema, if you’re feeling flush. (Picturehouse Cinemas, for instance, offers gift memberships that give you free and discounted tickets, starting from £45 a year for retirees, picturehouses.com).
In the same vein, some Taurus people are likely dreaming of doing some study this year, so if you could make a contribution towards the cost, it’s sure to go down well.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 22) Chemise
I want to spare Santa’s blushes, but one thing which could really float your Gemini’s boat right now would be chic underwear (if you know each other well enough).
Geminis have great love juju right now, and can also expect (mostly) good vibes in the boudoir throughout 2019. If the Gemini in question isn’t your partner, anything fun and enjoyable that you can do together as friends or family should make them happy.

CANCER (June 23 - July 23) Candle
The Cancerian in your life is probably near to burnout, but there’s no rest in sight just yet.
The coming year is going to be intense, thanks to a series of eclipses in their sign and their love zone, starting in the first week of January.
One of the best ways for Cancerians to unwind is with a lovely therapeutic bath, so anything along those lines hits the mark. Think: bubbles, bath oils, bathroom candles, even a new tub!
Cancerians, being a water sign, love anything from the sea, so jewellery featuring pearls — earrings or a necklace — could go down very well.

LEO (July 24 - Aug 23) Pen
Leos always want to be feted and adored and most really love to be spoiled at Christmas. As 2019 starts, they are going to be feeling a little more wound up than usual, thanks to the February full moon eclipse in their sign, the energy from which is already building.
They will welcome anything to do with the way they come across — of great importance to a status-sensitive Leo.
Treat them to a makeover, a chic new haircut, a website redesign or a set of beautiful stationery with a smart new pen.

VIRGO (Aug 24 - Sep 23) Scent subscription
Virgos spend their lives helping others, so the best thing you can offer them is some time out. Gifts aside, this Christmas they will welcome you doing a tedious chore for them, or cooking them dinner for a change, while they put their feet up.
Subscriptions to something they love could encourage Virgos to indulge themselves regularly — for example, to a favourite magazine, paid TV service, or a weekly organic veg box (from under £10 a week — find a local scheme at soilassociation.org).
But anything really fun will also work. Virgos seriously need to be reminded to enjoy themselves, too!

LIBRA (Sept 24 - Oct 23) Missoni cushion
Librans are at the very end of a chaotic near-decade in their relationships.
Some of them will have been chewed up and spat out. For those whose relationships have survived the past seven years of madness (happily the cycle ends in March), a self-help book on relationships might suit. For most Librans, though, this Christmas is all about home and loved ones.
Try a framed family photo, a cosy cushion or a throw, or even a gift voucher for their favourite department store.

SCORPIO (Oct 24 - Nov 22) Backgammon set
Try books, games, anything that entertains the sharp Scorpio mind and keeps it busy. Scorpios have such a lot going on in their heads as the year ends and a new one begins. If you can distract them, they will be hugely appreciative. If you can get away together or send them off on an adventure somewhere, that will also bring good cheer. Scorpios will be happy to do something last-minute.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23 - Dec 21) Sunglasses
Many Sagittarians are in a restless cycle and on the move. Some will be travelling somewhere warmer over the festive period and into the New Year, so how about a sarong, sunglasses or chic new beach towel?
Or, think about the kit they need to do the things they love to do — a new fishing rod or golfing glove for those who yearn to disappear to the river or the golf course.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 - Jan 20) Bath oil
Capricorns are under the most pressure of all the signs, so think ‘de-stress’ when it comes to buying for them. Many seem to already have everything, as Capricorns are typically hard-working and successful.
However, something that money can’t buy, like a massage from you, could be perfect. If that’s not appropriate, book them a professional treatment at a gorgeous spa, or sign both of you up for the day. A home visit from a mobile hair and beauty team could go down a treat. They need pampering.

AQUARIUS (Jan 21 - Feb 19) 2019 diary
Aquarians are going through a social cycle at the moment. Their chart suggests that to be happy in 2019 they need to be out in the world. So, help them get organised.
A wall or desk planner or calendar or — for the more technologically minded — a digital organiser such as the Evernote app, which helps you organise all your notes, files, photos, and voice memos (£4.99 a month, evernote.com) or to-do list app Todoist (£3 a month, todoist.com).

PISCES (Feb 20 - Mar 20) Business bag
Pisces who work are set for success in 2019. So if you’re buying for a Pisces friend, a diary or calendar with nights out for you both marked throughout 2019 could make a thoughtful gift. They’re going to be so busy, they need to schedule their time out. Anything that boosts their professional life, from a new work bag or tech gear they need but have been putting off investing in, or even a new outfit for the office, would hit the spot, too.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
