«Breaking News» Fergie thanks family for 'year of goodness' in festive Instagram snap

The Duchess of York has marked the festive season by sharing a touching photo of her family and revealing that she is thankful for 'such a year of goodness' for them.

Sarah Ferguson's Instagram snap shows daughters Eugenie and Beatrice flanking their father Prince Andrew while Eugenie's husband Jack Brooksbank stands to the side. 

The family all sport heartwarming smiles as they pose for the photo which seems to have been taken at the Duke's residence the Royal Lodge, in Windsor.

This heartwarming photo was shared on Instagram by the Duchess of York as she revealed she is thankful for a 'year of goodness' for a family

The Duchess of York, 59, shared the Christmas morning snap, despite speculation that she might be spending the day away from her family. 

Previously, she told the Daily Mail that she watches her daughters on the television on Christmas Day, after being barred from royal celebrations. 

However, Fergie has been gradually welcomed back into the royal fold in recent months. 

Commenting on Instagram, the Duchess of York wrote: 'Happy happy times this holiday season and big New Year celebrations .. thank you for such a year of goodness to my family.' 

A few days earlier, she sent the photo to fans who had written to her, alongside several others of her family.  

It has been a busy year for the family with Princess Eugenie's marrying Jack Brooksbank in October and Princess Beatrice starting a new relationship with property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The photo was also part of a Christmas card that the Duchess sent out to her fans in the past few days

Her daughter's lavish wedding saw Fergie in the thick of the celebrations as she stood side-by-side with ex-husband Prince Andrew while Eugenie and Jack exchanged vows in front of a 850-strong congregation including Hollywood A-listers and society insiders.

Following that, the Duchess of York was invited to Prince Charles’ birthday a month later.

Previously, she also spoke about how she blamed herself for her split with the Duke of York in 1996, following ten years of marriage.

However, she says that her and Andrew's life together is now 'the greatest ever', branding it as 'our fairy tale'.

'We’re the happiest divorced couple in the world. We’re divorced to each other, not from each other,' she explained. 

The Duchess of York added that she's 'starting my life at 58', after her return to the royal fold.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
