In an interview on Capital FM, Emily was asked about The Inbetweeners reunion special, Fwends Reunited, and confessed she has 'no idea' why she was axed just 24 hours before filming began.

She said: 'I don't really know what happened here. I was booked to do it, very much looking forward to do it. I think it was kind of the day before I was told I was no longer needed for it.'

Her revelation led to audible gasps of shock from Capital presenter Rob Howard, with Emily assuring the DJ: 'It's OK, it's alright. These things do happen and I think they just decided to go a different route with it or it was to do with production timings and things.'

Insisting there is no bad blood, Emily continued: 'I wish them all the best and I know it's going to be great. The fans won't be disappointed by it.'

News of Emily's axing left presenter Rob with questions, as he asked the star how she was let go from the reunion.

Emily laughed as she told him: 'It's all very professional and it's just business - stuff like this happens all the time,' as Rob joked: 'That was obviously over email, then.'

He then asked Emily if she will still be watching, to which the I'm A Celebrity star joked: 'Nah,' before quickly claiming: 'I'm joking, of course.'

She said: 'Of course I'll be watching it... because hopefully there'll be clips of me on there. No, I'll always support them. That program was an incredible part of my life and it always will be.'

MailOnline have contacted a representative for Channel 4 for comment.

Fwends Reunited will see the original stars of The Inbetweeners come together to celebrate the show and its best moments - a decade after it first aired on screen.

The original cast from The Inbetweeners reunited for the show’s 10th anniversary two-hour ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
