«Breaking News» Carol Vorderman looks chic in a mini dress and thigh high boots as she celebrates her 58th birthday

And Carol Vorderman certainly seemed in high spirits as she stepped out on her 58th birthday, which coincides with Christmas Eve, on Monday. 

The TV presenter was all-smiles as she left the BBC studios in Cardiff with what appeared to be a birthday cake tucked under her arm after presenting her morning show for BBC Radio Wales.

Looking better than ever, the mother-of-two showcased her sensational figure in a striped jumper dress which grazed her lean thighs. 

Carol boosted her frame with a pair of suede over the knee boots, whilst a black jacket kept her warm in the chill. 

The famed Rear Of The Year winner finished off the look with a pair of mirrored sunglasses, whilst she styled her glossy caramel hued locks in a sleek centre parting.

Carol recently revealed that her 50s have been the best decade of her life, she admitted it hasn't been without hardship, and reflected on her struggles with depression as a result of hormones fluctuating during the menopause.

'I went through the year 2015 and I started feeling really low,'she explained on Loose Women last week. 'I found it became so low it was like a physical pain, it felt like genuine depression. At times I would think about how I could stop that feeling.

'GP's would say here's an anti-depressants, I didn't want to go to a GP, it was almost suicidal thoughts if you like, but I would have never done it because I've got kids.'

Yet Carol is in a much better place now, and confessed she's now set herself a rather saucy goal as she edges into her sixth decade.   

The star, who used to date an astronaut, admitted she would like to be the first woman to have sex in outer space. 

She confessed: 'I would like to go to space and do naughty things in space.'

As Nadia Sawalha interjected: 'Basically she wants to be the first person to have sex in space!' Carol laughed: 'Not by myself!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
