Stevie Wonder wants to raise money through his benefit concert for California fire victims impacted by the catastrophic wildfires.
The R&B legend announced his plan Tuesday in Los Angeles to also help firefighters and first responders who assisted with the fires through his 22nd annual House Full of Toys Benefit Concert on December 9.
The charity billed as 'The Stevie Wonder Song Party: A Celebration of Life, Love & Music' will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Concertgoers are being asked to bring an unwrapped toy or other gift.
'We have to do our best to raise money for those that have been so less fortunate, for those that have lost dreams, lost their homes,' he said.

'I am very happy to do this again this year but very, very, very excited to do something to help those in a bigger sense the less fortunate.'
Wonder said his foundation House Full of Hope along with the Entertainment Industry Foundation will also help raise money for those affected by the wildfire.
The death toll from the Camp Fire in Northern California stands at 88 people with more than 200 still missing.
The wildfire ripped through 153,000 acres and destroyed nearly 14,000 homes, leaving tens of thousands homeless.
The estimated cost will likely be in the billions of dollars, according to authorities.
After his announcement, Wonder performed a few songs including My Cherie Amour, The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You) and Golden Lady.
Wonder also spoke on the importance of taking care of the planet.
'I know we're dealing with a drought,' he said.
'There are some who don't believe in global warming. I do. We have to protect the planet. We have to be cognizant of what we do.. I pray that all of us, even those who are non-believers, understand that if we don't love and take care of our planet, we won't have it.'

The lineup for this year's charity event has not been announced.
Last year's performers included Tony Bennett, Pharrell Williams and Andra Day.
Other big acts from the world of music are also lending a helping hand.
Metallica, the heavy metal group, announced that it was donating $100,000 to wildfire relief efforts, according to Rolling Stone.
The band is also offering a special digital download of a recent live acoustic show that it staged in San Francisco earlier this month.
All proceeds from the download will also go toward wildfire relief.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West last week donated $500,000 to firefighters and victims of Woolsey Fire that came close to destroying the celebrity couple’s own multimillion-dollar mansion.
Kardashian, appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, said she and West hired private firefighters to protect their home and others in their neighborhood in rural Calabasas, north of Los Angeles.
Kardashian, West and their three children were among thousands of people forced to evacuate their homes during the 93,000-acre Woolsey fire two weeks ago that spread into coastal Malibu, destroying 1,500 buildings and killing three people.
Philanthropists in the Golden State have opened their hearts - and wallets - to help victims heal from the trauma.

A businessman pained over the destruction of Paradise caused by the Camp Fire plans to give $1,000 each to students and staff members from the local high school.
Real estate developer and restaurant owner Bob Wilson plans Tuesday to hand out checks totaling $1.1 million to Paradise High School's 980 students and 105 teachers and staff members in the nearby small city of Chico.
Wilson is from the San Diego area and says he thought of the donation after reading a Los Angeles Times story about the high school still standing with students scattered and separated from each other.
Wilson says high school was the only 'truly carefree time' of his life and that learning about the students' difficulties broke his heart.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
