An Ohio University freshman died last week after he was found unresponsive at a fraternity-affiliated apartment after a night of drinking.

A 911 call from the Epsilon chapter of Sigma Pi fraternity at Ohio University, reveals that the caller told dispatchers that 18-year-old freshman Collin Wiant had 'drank a little too much'.

Wiant, of Dublin, Ohio, had been in and out of consciousness prior to passing out and was intoxicated and unresponsive by the time EMS arrived just before 3am last Monday.

'It's 45 Mill St. We'll carry him out. He's pretty in and out...' the caller told dispatchers in audio obtained by campus paper The Post

The dispatcher then advised the caller to not carry Wiant outside due to cold temperatures and to wait for first responders.

Wiant was rushed to OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital in Athens where he was pronounced dead.

He was a first-year student and a recent pledge of the fraternity. The building he was in was an unofficial annex of the Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity.

Athens Police are now investigating the cause of Wiant's death working with the Athens County Coroner's Office.

The school has been in touch with Wiant's family.

A funeral was held on Friday at the Rutherford-Corgin Funeral Home in Ohio and on Saturday a mass was held near the campus to honor Wiant's life.

A longtime friend of Wiant said he was a friendly and popular boy.

'He was friends with everybody. And he could have been really mean to me, but he chose to be very nice. And he always was,' Haley Keller said to ABC

She added that the fraternities on Mill Street, where Wiant was discovered, are notorious for their excessive partying and drinking.

Following the devastating incident, the university has shut down the Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity.

911 call prior to Collin Wiant's death

Dispatcher:  Athens City Police

Caller: Hey, so I just got connected with your … um … so we’re at 45 Mill Street and one of my friends is just...I mean he’s pretty unresp— I think he drank a little too much tonight.

Dispatcher: OK, is he responsive?

Caller: Um he was, and then he’s like kind of laid back and ... passed out.

Dispatcher: OK, is he still breathing?

Caller: Yes.

Dispatcher: OK, I’ll send them down that way.

Caller: I mean he —

Dispatcher: Is it there an apartment number?

Caller: Um, it’s 45 Mill St. We’ll carry him out. He’s pretty in and out, so like…

Dispatcher: Well let’s not carry him out yet. It’s really cold outside and the squad takes a little bit, so let’s just leave him there and I’ll send a officer down and the squads headed that way too.

Caller: All right, sounds good.

Dispatcher: All right, thanks.

Caller: All right, bye.

Martha Compton, the director of the Office of Community Standards and Student Responsibility (CSSR), issued a cease and desist letter addressed to the fraternity chapter president.

In the letter she said the university 'has received information which alleges that (the fraternity) has engaged in conduct that puts the health and safety of (its) members at risk' and broke the student code of conduct.

CSSR also initiated an investigation into accusations that the fraternity engages in dangerous conduct.

The national organization released a statement on Wednesday sharing their condolences.

'Sigma Pi Fraternity was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a new member of Epsilon Chapter at Ohio University after EMTs responded Monday to a 911 medical emergency call at an off-campus residence. We send our prayers and condolences to his family and the entire OU community,' the statement said.

A...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
