«Breaking News» I'm A Celebrity: Malique Thompson-Dwyer admits he 'didn't have a clue' who Noel Edmonds was

Malique Thompson-Dwyer admitted on Monday night's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! that he didn't know who Noel Edmonds was.

The 20-year-old Hollyoaks star told the former Deal Or No Deal host, 69, that he wasn't sure what he was famous for when he first turned up in the jungle - a few days after the rest of the celebs.

He said: 'When you came out, every one was like, "yay!", and I recognised your face but I couldn't put a face to your name.

'So I was like, "Nick [Knowles], who's that?", and he was like, "you know Deal Or No Deal?", and I was like "Oh yeah! No Deal!"'

The scene then cut to Noel - who has worked in broadcasting since 1968 - in the Bush Telegraph, reiterating that the young actor 'really didn't have a clue' who he was. 

Noel then explained his career to Malique saying that he 'started out in kids TV'.

'Saturday mornings I did. We invented Saturday morning television with something called Swap Shop. I was a DJ for a while,' he explained.

Malique assumed he meant a club DJ but Noel clarified: 'No a radio DJ. I did the Radio One Breakfast Show.'

Then Malique asked Noel how old he was and guessed that he was 49. He was astonished to learn that Noel would celebrate his seventieth birthday next month.

He said: 'When you came out, every one was like, "yay!", and I recognised your face but I couldn't put a face to your name'

'I feel very comfortable with everybody. There’s fifty years between you and me and I feel very very comfortable chatting with you,' Noel then said.

Later, of Malique, Noel told the Bush Telegraph: 'There is a simplicity about him and I don’t mean that for a second in an insulting way. He’s very straight forward.'

Later Malique said: 'I was fascinated for what he was telling me and we kind of clicked as well. He’s just a decent guy. A lovely man and I had no idea that he was 69, nearly 70.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
