«Breaking News» I'm A Celebrity: Emily Atack overcomes her biggest jungle fear by winning NINE stars

Emily Atack successfully overcame her biggest jungle fear to win nine of ten stars for her camp on Monday evening's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

But Holly Willoughby appeared to be more nervous than the actress as she coached her through the foreboding Viper Pit for the first Bushtucker Trial of the current series.

'I'm so stressed!' she trilled as Emily, 28, confronted forty snakes, a show record.

Well done: Emily Atack successfully overcame her initial fears to win nine of ten stars for her camp on Monday evening's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Looking on as The Inbetweeners stars fought her way through the harrowing trial - during which she was almost bitten by a snake - Holly appeared startled by stray leaf.

Fans were quick to pick up on the incident, with one tweeting: '@hollywills on I'm A Celeb is brilliant stressed out of her mind.'

While another added: Holly Willoughby being scared of a leaf would be me lol.'

Evidently in agreement, a third wrote: 'Am loving her so much. I can't stop laughing. IT's like Holly was doing the trial.'

Emily was both shocked and excited after being voted by the public to enter, but emerged triumphant on the day, meaning both she and her new camp-mates at Camp Croc would eat well that night.

Joining hosts Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby prior to the trial, she admitted they were adjusting to life in the jungle, telling them: 'We’re getting used to it now and we all just adore each other.'

Breaking down the rules of the game, Dec explained that Emily had to climb into the mouth of the Viper and make her way underground into a series of chambers that are buried in the belly of the snake.

'Your aim is to find five stars that are hidden inside the first three chambers,' Holly added. 'Then you’ll reach the 4th and final chamber and for each minute you stay inside you’ll win a star – a maximum of 5 stars up for grabs.'

In a surprise twist, Dec revealed that Emily had 10 stars in total to win, with the first 5 feeding Croc Creek.

The sixth star would feed Emily and send her to join Croc Creek as a new campmate, with the final four stars would be for Snake Rock.

Evidently disappointed to bed leaving her old camp-mates behind, Emily entered the the first chamber, which contained two stars and two jungle python snakes.

However obtaining the stars proved to be easy, with Emily quickly moving on to the next chamber, which contained one star and another two jungle pythons, one of which took an immediate interest in her hand.

'Oh my god, he just went for her!' A breathless Holly squealed. 'I’ve never seen anything like it in my life!'

Resolute, Emily put her hand back into the hole to get the star - only for the snake to go for her again, forcing her to abort and move on to the next two chambers, where she obtained a further three stars.

Winning the sixth, which guaranteed her a hot meal and a stay at Camp Croc,  which meant she’d get an evening meal and now move to Croc Creek, Emjily hung on for the seventh, at which point the chamber started to move and descend into darkness.

Suffering two more minutes, she claimed another two stars, taking her total to nine, before making her way outside.

'I can’t believe I did it, it smells of poo in there,' she said.

Holly informed Emily that she’s just broken a Jungle record as the Trial she’d just completed had the most snakes ever in I’m A Celebrity history - a terrifying 50 snakes.

It was an achievement for Emily, who had previously admitted they were her biggest jungle fear.

‘I can’t believe this! Snakes is my number one fear but I didn’t tell anyone that because I didn’t want to get snakes,' she told the Bush Telegraph earlier that day. 'I am strong and brave and I am going to do this… we’re feeling very faint in there!

Elsewhere Anne Hegerty revealed she initially struggled to cope with the drastic change in surroundings due to her autism - a developmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social interaction and restricted and repetitive behavior.

Speaking to camp-mates at Snake Rock, The Chase star, 60, admitted she was slowly starting to strike a balance.

'I’ve started to thinking I think I can sort of see my way ahead,' she explained. 'It’s also an autistic thing when you’re trying to work out what to do.

'I have to line up the mirror neurones up in my head and go this, this, this … It doesn’t have to be the same all the time but I actually have to work it out beforehand.

Sympathizing with the star, former EastEnders actress Rita Simons recounted an interview she had read in which Anne revealed that she didn’t realise that she was autistic until she was older.

'It wasn’t until 2003, when I was 45,' Anne confirmed.

'I know one of the characteristics of a lot of autistic people is not picking up on social cues,' said Rita. 'You don’t seem to have that. You don’t at all.'

Evidently relieved, Anne admitted her initial inability with social interaction was something she started working on as a teenager, adding: 'I was absolutely useless at it.'

'So is it more a case of you’ve had to go, I should feel like this, so I should act like this because that’s how I’m supposed to react like now,' mused Rita, attempting to grasp the fundamentals of the condition.

Sympathetic ear: Reflecting on their conversation in the Bush Telegraph later that day, Rita admitted she could understand how difficult it must be for Anne to cope with such a drastic change in her immediate surroundings

'Yeah I’m actually perfectly happy for the rest of you to be building the fire and boiling water but then I just sort of think come on Anne pull your weight,' Anne replied.

Reflecting on their conversation in the Bush Telegraph later that day, Rita admitted she could understand how difficult it must be for Anne to cope with such a drastic change in her immediate surroundings.

'I had read about Anne’s autism and of course she’s sitting trying to process all these new surroundings,' she said.

'I get it completely. She’s trying to figure out what the hell she’s doing here and how to move forward and she’s obviously started to get a bit of routine now because she’s happier.'

She added: 'I’m glad she’s opened up about it because then she can say, look I’m just having one of my moments because she’s just got such a lovely nature and I think people don’t realise that because she plays with alter ego that like meaney (as The Governess).'

Taking her own turn in the Bush Telegraph, Anne insisted she was happy to discuss the condition, but only if someone else broached the subject.

'I didn’t raise the autism issue … but if someone else raises it, I make it quite clear that I’m happy to talk about it,' she explained.

'I really appreciate how nice and sympathetic they’ve been to me and how supportive they are and it was nice that they said I actually pick up on social cues because I’m never quite sure that I actually do so that was nice to know.'

The discussion had clearly resonated with Rita, who later admitted she had been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), an anxiety based mental health condition.

'How the hell are you doing this!' exclaimed X Factor star Fleur East after the actress made the surprise admission.

'I’m not too bad with cleanliness and all of that,' insisted Rita. 'I don’t do any of the rituals any more. I used to be a real light switcher, tap checker, I’d spend hours doing it.'

Turning the conversation back to Anne's Autism, Rita added: 'It’s almost the complete opposite of you because yours is all logical and mine is all illogical. I don’t think you seem it at all. I wouldn’t know meeting you.'

But The Chase star was clearly doubtful, telling her: 'There are things, I mean if you saw my home you’d know there was something very wrong.'

'You’re a hoarder?' asked Rita.

'Absolutely and messy. An OCD person would not like my house,' Anne explained. 'It’s just sort of I just get overwhelmed by all the things there are to do, I’m like, I have no idea.'

Anne and Fleur later successfully took part in the show's first Dingo Dollar Challenge, but there was disappointment after they were confronted by show newcomer Kiosk Kev.

In order to win scones wityh clotted cream for camp, they had to guess how many children aspired to be YouTube stars.

The group opted for 75 percent over 65 percent, prompting Kev to slam the kiosk shutter in their faces before they headed back to camp empty handed.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Tuesday November 20, ITV1 at 9:00pm.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
