The botched Tory Brexiteer coup against Theresa May appears to have backfired - as her poll rating soared to its highest since last year's election disaster.
The YouGov survey found that some 46 per cent of voters want Mrs May to stay as leader - a massive leap on the 33 per cent who backed her a week ago.
While the number who want her ousted as PM has slumped from 47 per cent a week ago to 34 per cent, the poll in today's Times newspaper found.
The numbers are a major boost for Mrs May and comes amid growing signs that the Tory Brexiteer revolt against her is crumbling.
It comes as the PM prepares to jet to Brussels later today for crunch talks with EU President Jean-Claude Juncker where she will plead for more concessions.
She has been warned by her chief whip Julian Smith that she must come back with major additions to the deal for it to stand any chance of being passed by MPs.
Jacob Rees-Mogg declared all out war on the PM last week as he announced he had sent in his letter of no confidence as her Government was rocked by a series of Cabinet resignations.

Mr Rees-Mogg was mocked yesterday after he admitted his coup bid had gone a bit 'Dad's Army' - but still urged Tory MPs to oust her.
The leading Tory MP and Brexiteer said the Conservatives will be stuck with Mrs May as leader at the next election, expected in 2022, unless they ditch her now.
Asked if his mutiny had been exposed as a 'Dad's Army' operation, Mr Rees-Mogg compared himself to the show's hapless lead character.
'I've always admired Captain Mainwaring,' he joked.
One Tory MP mocked the failed revolt, saying: ‘I’ve heard a rumour that the ERG thought they were going to get 350 million letters a week going in' - a reference to the pledge for NHS cash during the EU referendum campaign.
Another senior Tory MP said: 'Who knows how far they are away. But they are not there yet, and that is very embarrassing. It’s now a week since they said it would happen.
‘Jacob was told he would be the 48th, and that he’d triumphantly lead the troops over the top.
‘Now Steve Baker is running round saying he feels humiliated and cannot trust colleagues. He is trying to organise a coup against the PM, and he is actually complaining that he can’t trust people.
‘He is taking the p***.’
But Mr Rees-Mogg has hit back at his critics - insisting that those declaring the attempt to oust the PM should 'wait and see'.
He said that more letters could come flooding in after the crunch in the Commons next month where Mrs May's Brexit deal looks likely to be voted down.
The poll of 1,647 adults was taken on Monday and Tuesday - after Mrs May gave a rare live TV interview to launch a defiant defence of her Brexit plan.
The PM will jet to Brussels later today to plead with the EU to sweeten her Brexit deal as she holds talks with Jean-Claude Juncker.

'There are lots of ways of changing something without changing something,' they said. 'You can do a lot with addenda.'
As the number of Tory MPs pledging to vote against the package continued to rise alarmingly, chief whip Julian Smith has privately told the PM she is set to lose unless there are significant tweaks.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
