«Breaking News» 12 women filed complaint against FBI claiming instructors punish women more harshly than men

Twelve women have filed a complaint against the FBI, accusing the agency of unfairly treating women recruits during training.

As many as a dozen women are claiming many of the instructors at its training academy in Quantico, Virginia, are guilty of gender of discrimination.

Danielle Snider is one of the trainees who alleged the organisation punishes women more harshly for mistakes than her male counterparts who made similar mistakes during the course.

The 30-year-old had less than two weeks to go before graduating when she was kicked-off the course for a 'lack of tactical judgment' in January.

But Ms Snider, who attended the Air Force Academy where she was commissioned as a second lieutenant and spent four years in the military, said men who made similar mistakes were not reprimanded in the same way.

Until the tactics section of the training, she was on course to graduate and was told she was near the top of her class of 150 new recruits.

Ms Snider, along with nine of the other women, 'washed out' of the academy during the tactics training.

She said the mostly male instructors scrutinized the female trainees more closely 'because they were women' and treated men differently, it was claimed.

She told the New York Times: 'Everyone is making mistakes. I felt it wasn't the same playing field for women. I think it is fundamentally unfair.

'When a woman makes a mistake at the FBI, she's incompetent. When a guy makes a mistake, it is just a mistake.'

Another 11 women accused the FBI of gender discrimination at its training academy, with one of the women claiming she also suffered discrimination because of her race and another because of a disability.

Their allegations were lodged last month with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The complaint said: 'Female trainees are singled out in group tactical exercises because they are perceived as being weak and prone to failure.

'Male trainees are provided multiple avenues for success, in spite of their errors. Male trainees are often permitted to retake tactical exams when female trainees are denied the opportunity to do so.'

Some of the women who filed the complaint said they encountered repeated problems with male tactical instructors, who give no guidance and can target any recruit for dismissal, according to the document.

It read: 'The subjective evaluations by these male instructors results in female trainees being written up and subsequently dismissed at a rate significantly and disproportionately higher than their male counterparts.'

Ms Snider's classmate Terah Gaertner, a lawyer, and Paula Bird, a who works as a lawyer for the FBI in Miami, also passed the first three phases of training before struggling with the tactics section.

In a statement to the New York Times, the FBI said it was 'prioritizing advertising and recruiting aimed at women both nationally and through the 56 field offices'.

According to the bureau, 24 per cent of the new agents in training this year were women.

Danielle Snider is...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
