«Breaking News» Mulvaney says no decision on which military projects will be impacted by wall

Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday 'it could be a while' before there's a list of military projects that will be impacted by the move of funding to build President Donald Trump's border wall.

'It could be a while and here's why,' he said on CBS' 'Face the Nation.' 'None of the programs that were scheduled to be started or what we call obligated in 2019, so between now and the end of September, will be impacted at all.'

He also said there's no list of projects to be targeted - after a Democratic senator suggested the White House was hiding one.

'I know of no list. And if anybody should it would be me,' he added. 'There's no list of projects that are absolutely going to not be funded so that the wall can be. What it is is a list of programs that fit the criteria that I've just laid out for you, which is that they are meant to be funded beyond the end of this fiscal year.'

When President Trump declared a national emergency last month, he said he would redirect $6.5 billion to build his wall.

One Democratic senator said The Pentagon is planning to tap $1 billion in leftover funds from military pay and pension accounts to help for the border barrier.

Illinois Senator Dick Durbin told The Associated Press: 'It's coming out of military pay and pensions. $1 billion. That's the plan.'

Durbin said the funds are available because Army recruitment is down and a voluntary early military retirement program is being underutilized.

Democratic senators have expressed frustration with a lack of information about where the administration will get the funds.

Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia claimed the White House was attempting to withhold the list until after Congress votes on whether or not to override the president's first veto.

'This is the White House wanting to hold the list back because they worry that if senators and House members saw the potential projects that were going to be ransacked to pay for the president's wall they would lose votes,' Kaine said on CBS' 'Face the Nation.'

Trump declared a national emergency after Congress failed to give him the $5.7 billion he requested to build his border wall.

Congress voted against his move last week and, on Friday, Trump issued the first veto of his administration.

'It is definitely a national emergency. Rarely have we had such a national emergency,' he said when he issued his veto.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement last week that '[o]n March 26, the House will once again act to protect our Constitution and our democracy from the president's emergency declaration by holding a vote to override his veto.'

She will have to marshal two-thirds of the House, 290 seats, to prevail. Democrats hold just 235. If Pelosi were to pull off the feat, the Republican-controlled Senate would get the measure next.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
