Dramatic footage shows the moment a 32-tonne lorry carrying scrap metal crashed into a low railway bridge in Camden, London, UK, causing sustained delays for thousands of commuters.

Two fire engines attended after being called to the scene on Randolf Road at 3.38pm on Monday, attempting to cut the lorry free from the bridge.

Vlad Filipenko, 25, a Warehouse Manager from London was following the large lorry in a car on his commute to work when it smashed into the bridge in front

He captured footage of the shocking moment on his vehicles dash cam.

He said: 'I was on my way to the office when I caught the moment a truck hitting a low bridge in Camden.

'I was a bit shocked as I wasn't expecting it and I looked around to see if anyone was nearby.

'Soon after the accident I made a U-turn and drove off.

'Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to check if the driver was okay or not.

'I’m happy to say no one was around when the crash happened and the bridge still stands.'

Commuters endured severe delays through rush hour and into the evening on the overground line between Camden Road and Stratford and Richmond / Clapham Junction.

The road under the bridge remained closed until London Fire Brigade were able to remove the vehicle and the integrity of the bridge was checked several hours later.

London Overground tweeted in reply to many commuters questioning the delay.

Tweeting: 'We have severe delays between Camden Road and Richmond/Clapham Junction due to a vehicle hitting a bridge at Camden Road.

'We have to safety check the integrity of that bridge. Really sorry. Thanks.'

The lorry driver was not hurt in the crash -the London Fire Brigade reported that no one was injured during the incident.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
