My Kitchen Rules stars Ash Keillah, 34, and Stacey Allen, 27, made a shock exit from Seven's reality cooking show on Wednesday due to health concerns.
And Ash, known as 'The Friendly Pirate' for wearing an eye-patch over his missing left eye, claims things were more serious than what was explained on-screen.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, he said: 'My doctor told me I had a risk of spreading the eye infection from my eye socket to my good eye, and I could lose my only eye!'

Ash wears a black eyepatch, because he lost his left eye after being glassed at a party more than 10 years ago.
The hipster couple had been absent from Tuesday night's episode and returned briefly on Wednesday to say goodbye to the judges and their rivals.
Ash explained to his co-stars that he had developed an infection in his empty eye socket, and wasn't allowed near food as he recovered from it with antibiotics.

After feeling 'run down' from the 'long days' of filming, he noticed his eye socket become painful and swollen after the show's Bondi challenge.
Advised to rest up for 10 days, the Byron Bay lovebirds made the decision to leave the competition permanently.
'It wasn't fair to the other competitors or us to come back a week later - there were three eliminations in that time - it would have been a huge advantage for us.'

'We were both so run down': Stacey and Ash agreed that their time on the reality TV show has worn them down and taken them out of their normal routine
'When you've got one eye and the other eye is infected, we don't muck around with it, we take that very seriously,' Ash's concerned fiancée said.
Stacey continued: 'I was the one that really put my foot down and said that we've got to step out. We were under such hectic conditions where Ash didn't have the time to just chill out and get better. We were both so run down.'
'Although I didn't want to leave, Stacey said "you've got to look after your one eye". She wants me to be able to see her at the wedding.' Ash confessed.

Ash has since completely recovered from the infection and has opted to wear an acrylic eyeball to protect the socket from future issues.
'It's something to keep my eye socket in tact. I'll wear it under the patch so my eyebrows and eyelids don't droop in the future.'
Stacey said she's warmed to Ash's new look: 'He told me he wanted to go pure white and I thought it was going to be scary looking, but he rocks it, it looks good. I like it.'

The amateur chefs, who already had a large following on Instagram before applying for the show, have been engaged since May 2018.
Ash proposed to Stacey in a penthouse suite before sharing a meal at their favourite restaurant, Rae's on Wategos.
Ash and Stacey are still finalising plans for their wedding in September, and are hoping to honeymoon in Italy.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
