«Breaking News» Michelle Obama's book Becoming is set to become the best-selling memoir of all time

Michelle Obama's book Becoming is on track to become the best-selling memoir of all time.

The former First Lady released her book in November 2018 and it shot to the top of bestseller lists immediately, selling 725,000 copies in the U.S. and Canada in its first day.

And the sales just continue to soar. According to her publisher Penguin Random House the book has sold more than 10million copies – including hardcover, audiobooks, and e-books – since its release and could take the record as the best selling memoir in history.

'I’m not aware, in my personal experience with Penguin Random House, that we ever sold 10 million units of a memoir,' Markus Dohle, Penguin Random House’s chief executive, said to the Wall Street Journal.

Becoming has already shattered a number of records - it sold 2million copies in North America within 15 days of its release, making it the fastest-seling book of 2018

It was also named the best-selling hardcover book of the year.

The presale stats for the book were so good, Amazon predicted it would be a No. 1 selling book even before its release date.

Abroad the book has become a No. 1 best seller in Britain, Germany and Greece among other countries.

Becoming is a three part personal memoir goes through Michelle's roots growing up in the South Side of Chicago, life as First Lady in the White House and her role as a mother raising daughters Sasha and Malia.

The book is the first in a two-book deal that Michelle and husband former president Barack Obama made with Penguin Random House in 2017 for a reported $60million.

Not only was the book a hit, but Michelle’s nationwide book tour that included interviews with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Jessica Parker bolstered her popularity and sales.

The tour was such a success it started out with just 10 days and an additional 21 were added. Tickets started at $29.95 and spiked into the thousands for special VIP access.

Michelle is still on tour for the record-shattering personal memoir and is scheduled to speak in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Paris in April.

Then she'll return stateside and wrap up the tour in Nashville on May 12, in a talk moderated by late night TV show host Stephen Colbert.

And the sales just co...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
