«Breaking News» Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton toast Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace

The wives of Windsor cut two very different figures today as they attended a reception to honour Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.

Kate and Meghan, both 37, donned their finery at a glittering party to celebrate 50 years since their father-in-law was invested as the Prince of Wales.

The Duchess of Sussex, who is between seven and eight months pregnant, dressed her blossoming baby bump in a stylish brocade dress embellished with a metallic floral pattern.

She teamed the flattering silver number with an £895 Amanda Wakeley coat, £205 Wilbur & Gussie oyster silk clutch, £525 Paul Andrew pumps and £215 Maison Birks gold bar earrings.

Known for playing it sartorially safe, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a custom made pale blue gown that looked almost identical to a Beulah dress she wore on a visit to Kuala Lumpur in 2012.

Attending an event at Buckingham Palace today, the Duchess of Cambridge exuded elegance in a pastel midi dress.

We love the floaty chiffon fabric that looks incredibly sophisticated, plus the pretty lace high-neck. Fans of Kate's style may have noted it looks very similar to the Beulah London midi she wore a few years back!

The stylish royal then accessorised with nude pumps and a clutch by Alexander McQueen for the perfect finishing touches.

As Kate's midi is a custom-made piece designed by a private dress maker, it's not available to buy. However, if you're as enthralled with the fresh mint shade as we are, we're sure you'll want to check out the line-up of doppelganger designs we've picked out for you below.

Self-Portrait, Burberry, Little Mistress and Rachel Gilbert all have some similar styles that are perfect for giving a nod to Kate's look.

Kate's chiffon ensemble, which fell to just above the ankle, featured a delicate buttoned bodice and voluminous puffed sleeves.

She sported a similar look in Northern Ireland last week, donning a £1,590 Missoni wrap dress during a visit to Belfast's Empire Music Hall.

Today's event, hosted by the Queen, will celebrate a range of Welsh charities, organisations and businesses.

Among the guests will be leading figures in Welsh and UK public life, as well as representatives from Charles' Welsh charities and patronages, including The Prince’s Trust Cymru, Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and the BBC National Orchestra & Chorus of Wales.

The Archbishop of Canterbury will also be in attendance to give a speech to mark the anniversary.

The Investiture Regalia worn by The Prince of Wales in 1969 will be on display, including the Investiture Coronet, Sword, Ring and Rod, as well as the Letters Patent for the creation of Charles, Duke of Cornwall as Prince of Wales in 1958.

The reception will culminate with a musical performance in the ballroom by students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, of which The Prince of Wales is Patron.

The performance will include a new piece written for the anniversary by Welsh composer Paul Mealor, inspired by the legend of the Lady of Llyn y Fan, a mountain lake near The Prince of Wales’s Welsh home, Llwynywermod in Carmarthenshire.

Prince Charles was created The Prince of Wales aged 9 on July 26th 1958 and was formally invested with the title by Her Majesty The Queen on July 1st 1969 at Caernarfon Castle.

The ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
