She said: ‘When Suffragette came up I thought it could be a game-changer for me, but it wasn’t to be. I’ve also auditioned for every series of Peaky Blinders and never got it. Although work is regular, it doesn’t always go my way.’

Dismissing the idea of following in fellow British stars' footsteps and moving across the pond, she said: ‘Don’t get me wrong, my mum would love to see me in a Hollywood movie… but people don’t see me in that category.

'Maybe that’ll change, but I’ll never force it. I’m not going to do a pilot season in America. I understand people who do; some make money and secure one hell of a career.

'But I’ve stood in too many queues. I’ve got a great career; if you told me this is where I’d be 10 years ago, I’d have taken it!’

The star will reprise her role in the explosive new series of Line of Duty, and admitted the audience would be in for a shock.

She said: ‘Oh. My. God. The audience is going to be shocked. I would love nothing more than to work with Adie [Adrian Dunbar], Martin [Compston] and Jed [Mercurio] for my entirety, but everything has a shelf life, which won’t be determined by me.

'I always wonder, “Is this the season I die?”’

The series is set to focus on an organised crime gang, rather than the usual single corrupt officer.

Creator Jed Mercurio previously told Pilot TV magazine: 'That is the fresh ground that we break in the series.

'That we've had these shadowy figures, "the Balaclava Men", who are part of an organised crime group and have featured on and off all through the previous four seasons.

'But we've never really gone behind the mask and identified them as proper characters and found out about them.'

In her personal life, Vicky is happily engaged to actor and producer Jonny Owen, who she met while filming his film Svengali in 2012.

The pair appeared together on-screen when Jonny took on the role of Taff in This is England 90.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
