«Breaking News» Just the usual! Couple have eaten at the same Wichita restaurant six nights a week for 15 years

A couple from Kansas have eaten at the same restaurant, six nights a week for the past 15 years.

Ron and Diana Watson from Wichita have eaten at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant each and every day of the week, except Saturdays, since it opened in 2004.

They even have a regular booth - table 412 - which gives the couple a good view of the door so they can see who's coming and going while chowing down their dinner.

Diana likes to order the 'Roadkill' which is a chopped steak topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms, plus a house salad with Ranch dressing, no tomatoes, and a baked potato, no salt. Diana always orders a Wichita Brewing 5:02 Amber Ale.

Ron, meanwhile, always gets the barbecue chicken breast or sometimes the the pork chop, well done along with mashed potatoes, brown gravy and an iceberg lettuce salad with Italian dressing.

The couple have been keeping the same routine since 2004. The reason they don't go seven days a week is because Diana works late on Saturdays and the restaurant is normally too crowded by the time she finishes work.

The reptitive routine began because Ron admits he's not much of a cook in the kitchen, nor did he want his wife Diana to have to cook after a long day at work.

So, the Watsons began to hit up the Roadhouse every evening for their only meal of the day.

The pair visit the place so frequently that they know all of the servers and kitchen staff.

The restaurant even added a 'wall 'of fame' picture of the dining duo because they are the venue's most regular customers.

'They're kind of like our unofficial mascots,' manager Kyle Hauber said to the Wichita Eagle. 'Everybody talks to them.'

The restaurant also give the Watson's 10 per cent off with its Military Discount offer.

Ron fought in Vietnam and likes to dine only in restaurants that offer the veteran's perk. He has symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and finds his particular booth at Texas Roadhouse especially comforting.

The couple also know how to make their dollars go further as they always eat between 3 and 3:15pm to take advantage of the restaurant's early bird special which offers them full meal for $9.49.

They even managed to take advantage of a Christmas promotion that offered anyone who bought a $200 gift card a free appetizer serving of shrimp on every visit for an entire year.

The couple have added this free appetizer of five shrimps to their daily meal.

'We're going to eat 1,560 shrimp this year,' Ron said.

'It's just about as cheap as going to the grocery store, buying your groceries, coming home, heating up the kitchen and doing the dishes,' he said to Kansas.com. 'If your time's worth anything to you, it's about the same as eating at home but you get a lot better service.'

The only thing Ron and Diana don't like to have with their meal is bread.

The delicious Texas Roadhouse yeast rolls were 'becoming a problem for Ron's waistline' and so now the waitstaff know not to even tempt him with the addictive side.

Despite the repetitive nature of eating at the same place, at the same tables for years on end, the couple say that it is like having a date night six nights a week.

'She'll talk about what she did at work while we're there,' Ron said. 'It's just our quiet time together.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
