«Breaking News» Hugh Grant looks focused as he films gritty scenes for new TV series The Undoing

His next project is a TV series alongside Nicole Kidman. 

And Hugh Grant looked focused as he filmed gritty new scenes for The Undoing in New York City on Friday.

The Notting Hill actor, 58, showed off his in-demand acting skills as he was filmed taking a serious phone call while walking down a busy street.

The star looked handsome as he wrapped up in a slate grey overcoat, paired with a patterned lime green scarf.

He teamed this with navy trousers and patent leather shoes, making for a dapper display.

The silver fox wore his locks in a slick side-parting as he chatted with the crew, before wrapping up in a raincoat between takes.

According to IMDb, the new series centers around 'a successful therapist in New York [who] begins to unravel on the eve of publishing her first book.'

Hugh and Nicole play parents to Noah Jupe's character in the forthcoming HBO series. 

David E Kelley is also the brains behind HBO series Big Little Lies. 

Hugh is also gearing up for the release of his short film sequel to rom-com classic Four Weddings And A Funeral. 

The new short film will air during Red Nose Day in 2019, following on from the huge success of the Love Actually reboot last year.

Red Nose Day co-creator Richard wrote the original film, and has written the new short, while original director Mike Newel also returns for the sequel, which will pick up 25 years after the original film.

The short film follows on from the huge success of Red Nose Day Actually, a follow up to Love Actually that premiered during Red Nose Day's 2017 edition.   

The original film ended with Hugh's Charles finally getting together with Carrie, played by Andie, after calling of his wedding to Henrietta/Duck Face (Anna Chancellor).

There will be a notable absence from the cast though as sadly Charlotte Coleman who played Charles' flatmate Scarlett died in 2001.  

Simon Callow will also be skipping out on an appearance as his character Gareth famously dies during the original film.

Four Weddings and a Funeral was made in just six weeks and cost under £3 million, but became the highest-grossing British film in history at the time, with worldwide box office takings in excess of $245.7 million.

The film was also nominated for the Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay Oscars and picked up multiple Golden Globes and BAFTAs.  

It also launched the international career of leading man Hugh, and his huge success as a romantic comedy icon.

His fame also soared thanks to the premiere of Four Weddings, which saw his then unknown girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley wow in the now iconic Versace safety-pin dress.

Andie meanwhile achieved her first major box office success with the movie, along with her other early nineties hit Groundhog Day.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
