«Breaking News» Hampstead home designed by Kanye West's architect on sale for £22.5million

With all technology hidden, 42 stone steps leading down to a luxurious spa and a 50ft living room this oasis of a home offers a break from the chaos of central London - in Hampstead.

Architect Claudio Silvestrin worked with Kanye West on his minimalist apartment in Soho, New York.

And now Cannon Lane in London has been transformed with contemporary minimalist design and is on the market for just £22.5million.

The design won a LEAF award in 2017 for Best International Interior Design after the luxurious house was built to replace an 'unremarkable' 1970s building

The 7,940 sq ft home has five bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a climate controlled walk-in pantry, its own miniature apartment in the basement for staff, a cinema that doubles as a safe room and a three-levelled garden.

Designed by Chelsea Flower Show gold medalist Chris Beardshaw the garden is split over three levels into a dining area, water features, and a planted roof garden offering a view over the London skyline.

Most technology is hidden from immediate view with the house acting as a place 'of calm and serenity' and 'almost a meditative space', according to Claudio Silvestrin.

The designer, who has previously worked with fashion brands Armani and Calvin Klein and British sculptor Anish Kapoor, added: 'To achieve this simplicity, technology is mostly hidden and there is no ornamentation of any kind.

'However there is drama – the 42 step stone staircase that leads down to the pool and spa which recalls an ancient site, for example.'

The design won a LEAF award in 2017 for Best International Interior Design after the luxurious house was built to replace an 'unremarkable' 1970s building.

Bought by developers in 2007 Silvestrin spent £1m on Porphyry stone from the Italian Dolomites alone.

Oxidised brass, bronze and natural oak floors are also features in the home.

It has a kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, and the lower leisure floor boasts a swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna room, treatment area, changing room and a self-contained studio apartment.

Rosy Khalastchy, of Beauchamp Estates, said: 'This is an exceptional property in a wonderfully secluded setting.

'The discrete nature of the property - unobtrusively nestling in Cannon Lane - is like a hidden gemstone.

'Once inside, the true nature and scale of the house starts to reveal itself, showing clearly how the spectacular design and space is super for both relaxed living and entertaining.'

And now...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
