A man has been stabbed to death outside of a train station, the fourth in a string of horrifying knife attacks since lunchtime that also saw a schoolboy left for dead.
Marking another bloody chapter of violence to plague the capital, the Met police were called to four separate incidents all involving bladed articles today.
- A man in his 20s was killed outside of Ilford train station in east London shortly before 9pm. He was declared dead at the scene and no arrests have been made.
- A schoolboy was seen lying 'face down on the ground' after he was stabbed in the stomach outside of South Ruislip Underground station. He was taken to a major trauma centre as a 'priority'.
- An 18-year-old man in Romford was taken to hospital suffering stab injuries. Doctors say his wounds are serious but not life threatening.
- A man in Enfield, believed aged in his 30s, suffering a stab wound to his thigh was taken to hospital – he has since been discharged from hospital.
The four attacks highlight the knife crime epidemic gripping London, following last year's horrific series of attacks - the bloodiest in almost a decade, as the number of homicides reached 135 by year end.

Among the most harrowing of attacks was the schoolboy left for dead earlier today.

A terrified witness said: 'I saw a school boy in uniform stabbed in the side and he didn't look in a good way. He was face down on the pavement and was shaking. Think he was in shock.'
Another told MyLondon: 'A schoolboy was stabbed, my daughter was there when he fell to the floor.'
British Transport Police confirmed a 'young man' was taken to hospital after being stabbed at about 4.30pm.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A spokesman added: 'At 4.24pm today (26 February) British Transport Police were called to South Ruislip Underground station following reports of a disturbance.

'Officers attended the scene, alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service, and a young man was taken to hospital with what is believed to be a stab wound to his abdomen.
'His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
'Anyone who was at the station at the time is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 415 of 26 February.'
An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We sent an ambulance crew, two medics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

'We treated a person at the scene and took them by road to a major trauma centre as a priority.'
Trains are currently not stopping at the station with the National Rail confirming that it is not possible to provide alternative transport.
The station is served by the Central Line, whose twitter account wrote: ‘South Ruislip station is closed to Central Line and Chiltern Railways services while the police carry out investigations. Trains will not be stopping there.’
The closure could cause disruption to football fans travelling to the Queens Park Rangers game this evening.

Police have sealed off parts of Bull Street following the stabbing in a British Heart Foundation store - which has a large blood stain on the carpet inside.
Shoppers crowded around the scene while police searched bushes in the area after being called to the incident at around 5.30pm today.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: ‘Police have been called to a stabbing at a shop in Bull Street, Birmingham city centre, around 5.30pm today (Tuesday 26 February).

‘A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with a leg injury.

It comes as the police force try to clamp down on knife crime after three teenagers were fatally stabbed in just 12 days.
A knife arch was placed outside McDonald's in nearby High Street, with officers also using stop and search powers following the deaths.
Student Hazrat Umar, 17, died after being knifed in Cherrywood Road, Bordesley Green, at around 2pm on Monday.
West Midlands Police have revealed a 16-year-old youth has now been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Last Wednesday 16-year-old Abdullah Muhammad died after being stabbed in Herbert Road, Small Heath.
Seven days earlier student Sidali Mohamed, also 16, died after being stabbed outside Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College in Highgate.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
