«Breaking News» Taylor Swift pops in to serenade a couple at their engagement party

Taylor Swift helped two fans celebrate their engagement in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 29-year-old singer surprised the couple by showed up to help Alex Goldschmidt toast to his engagement to his fiance Ross Girard at Sycamore Tavern in Hollywood.

'I decided to propose to Ross listening to this song in my car,' Goldschmidt said. 'I can’t thank Taylor enough for wanting to help make this day so special.'

Goldschmidt shared four videos on Instagram, where he had his arm around Ross, revealing that there was one secret so big that he didn't trust any of his friends with.

'There was a person who is not here who sort of played a part in all of this,' he began.

'So I would like to welcome, and you to give a warm welcome to my friend Taylor,' he continued, when Taylor Swift walked up, wearing a blue dress and carrying a guitar.

'So Alex emailed me and said he was gonna do this and there was this song that was really special to you two called King of My Heart,' Swift said.

'So I came prepared, and I've been off tour for awhile but hopefully it's still all right,' Swift continued.

'This is from Alex. It's sung by me, but it's from Alex,' Swift told Ross, before breaking into the song.

Swift has long been known to surprise her fans in amazing and spontaneous ways throughout the years.

She often sends out care packages to her fans, including gifts at Christmas, which she dubbed 'Swiftmas.'

'I love them,' Swift says of her fans. 'I have to do everything I can to make their day better while I still can.'

'[Sending presents] is fun for me. If I go a week without sending something, I start to feel sad,' Swift said.

She is currently gearing up to star in an adaptation of the hit musical Cats, playing Bombalurina.

In November, she signed a new multi-album deal with the Universal Music Group.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
