Simon Cowell has confirmed there will be two series of X Factor and Britain's Got Talent each in a huge format overhaul.
The music mogul, 59, revealed there will be two versions of the ITV singing competition — one boasting a celebrity line-up while the other will see ex contestants battle it out in an all-star edition.
Similar to the current US series, entertainment manager Simon is launching Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, set to run alongside the regular show.

In an interview with The Sun, the Syco executive insisted the 'time feels right' for the massive shake-up, but is still in the process of ironing out the details.
He explained: 'The time feels right, and it will be a huge change... essentially there are going to be two versions of X Factor running this year.
’I'm waiting for confirmation this week on some dates and clarification on the second show, but all we’re trying to do is upgrade and glamourise the show.
'Then next year the main X Factor show will change again and we’ve got something very, very exciting, that I can’t get into yet, but it’s a four-year plan.'

According to the publication, the series will see last year's panel Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Fields return.
Simon went on to reveal he's set to introduce BGT Champions following the success of the US version, which has seen the likes of comedian Lost Voice Guy, singer Susan Boyle, and dog act Ashleigh and Sully take to the stage.
In a bid to boost ratings, the father-of-one admitted he'd rather 'take a risk' than watch his projects 'slowly fade away and fail'.
X Factor has lost 3million viewers in five years while last year's edition of Britain's Got Talent saw an average of 8.7 million viewers tune in, 500,000 more than 2017.

Despite the dip in ratings, however, The X Factor's initial audition show remained the most watched programme on TV on Saturday night across all channels.
Ratings don't take into account viewers who watch The X Factor via repeats, online and on mobile - and the launch show pulled in a staggering 5 billion viewers on YouTube.
It launched with 5.7 million viewers and a 34 per cent share of viewing, up by two share points on last year's launch.
The episode peaked with 6.3 million viewers, a 3 per cent share, and had a 48 per cent share of 16-34s viewing.

Before it's 2018 return, ITV boss Kevin Lygo defended the show's declining ratings - explaining it still remains one of the most watched programmes on TV.
He said: 'X Factor, more than any other show, it's been running a long time, ratings have been going down a bit, but it's still…
'The idea that you could launch a new show today that is as big as X Factor is now, I mean, our job is to keep it young, keep it good, keep it fresh.'
Simon's confirmation follows reports that The X Facyor will see soap actors, newsreaders and comedians being brought on board in the hope of improving viewing figures.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: 'The decision has been made to drop X Factor in its current form. It has been 100% axed. The show is done.
It's being replaced by a show that'll only be for celebrities. Members of the public won't get to take part. So viewers won't see new talent being discovered anymore. It's the end of an era.'

The new format - which is still being discussed - has reportedly been described as 'Strictly Come Dancing with singers'.
A source told The Mirror: 'Imagine Strictly but with singers. That's the plan being talked about at present. There is no doubt the X Factor format needs freshening up – this is it.'
Another source told the publication: 'Bradley Walsh was the biggest selling artist of 2016. They could find a similar type of celebrity not known for their musical skills – and make them even more of a star.'
In November 2016, Coronation Street actor Bradley released his debut album, consisting of covers of well-known jazz hits. It became the biggest-selling debut album by a British artist in 2016, selling 111,650 copies.
MailOnline contacted ITV and Simon's representatives for further comment.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
