«Breaking News» Lesbian couple left in tears after an anonymous neighbour branded their marriage 'immoral and wrong'

A same-sex couple have become the target of an anonymous hateful letter that stated their relationship was 'immoral and wrong'.

Vikki Parkey, 36, and her wife Stephanie, 29, from Hull, were left shocked after the anonymous note posted through their letter box stated they should move from their home to 'a more appropriate area of the city'.

The married couple, who live with their 18 month old daughter, said they could not believe the letter went as far to suggest that they had no right bringing up a child as a lesbian couple.

Vikki Parkey said: 'We've lived here at the property for six years and never received anything like this. We just couldn't believe it. It was very hurtful, but this is just one a**hole, well hopefully, just one a**hole, who is doing this.'

The computer-typed letter is thought to have been posted to their two-bed terraced home under the cover of darkness on Thursday evening.

Vikki said: 'I went downstairs this morning and my wife was in tears about it and when I asked her what was up she showed me this letter.

'When I read it, I instantly became mad more than anything for upsetting my wife and thinking that they have any right to pass judgement on us and most of all that they thought they had a right to even mention my daughter.

'It's two different emotions really: mad at the bigotry of it all and upset that there was nothing I could do to stop Steph being upset about it.

'We have never had a problem before, but these opinions in this day and age are just not acceptable. Whoever sent it are just cowards really.'

The letter read: 'We, the residents, are not happy with same-sex couples living our area'

Vikki says she knows her immediate neighbours are friendly so it must have been another resident who lives nearby.

She added: 'When we were going through IVF, all the neighbours were all really excited for us so we know its not the street as a whole.

'It came through over night so they must of waited for the lights to go out before posting it. We then saw the letter when we got up for work.'

The letter, which was anonymously addressed to Vikki's property, read: 'We, the residents, are not happy with same-sex couples living our area.

'Especially not when bringing up a child. It is immoral and wrong. We suggest you move to a more appropriate area of the city.'

Vikki discovered the posted letter on Friday morning and reported the incident to Humberside Police straight away.

Humberside Police have been contacted for comment.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
