President Trump's daughter-in-law Lara posted a sweet video of her one-year-old son spotting his grandfather on the television, on Sunday.

As the 45th President of the United States announced to press gathered in the Oval Office that he would be delaying a tariff that would increase the cost of Chinese goods, his adoring grandson offered him a heartwarming gesture of encouragement.

Turning around after hearing the business mogul-turned-political leader's voice on the big screen, little Luke delicately waves to his presidential Grandfather, cooing in excitement as he does so.

Staring up at the screen in bewilderment for a number of seconds, the toddler momentarily returns to his toys giggling to himself, before turning back around to wave goodbye to Grandpa.

The son of Trump's third child Eric, many were quick to comment that Luke bears a striking resemblance to his grandfather.

'I swear, Lara, he looks like his Grandpa! So adorable!,' said one user.

'That is so precious! How many children in a life time gets to see his grand pa on TV,' added another

In recent weeks, Lara Trump is believed to have tried to persuade the President to adopt a dog during his tenure at the White House, an ABC report said.

And the President seemed to have dogs on the brain during a rally in El Paso, Texas on Monday, where he asked the crowd 'How would I look walking a dog on the White House Lawn?'

'I wouldn't mind having one, honestly,' he added. 'But I just don't have time.'

He then made a jibe towards President Obama - whose dog Bo lived at the White House - saying the idea to him seemed 'phony'.

'Lot of people say, "Oh you should get a dog." Why? "It’s good politically." I said, "Look, that’s not the relationship I have with my people.’"

Lara dominated headlines in late-January, when she called the longest government shutdown in US history a 'bit of a pain'.

Following her father-in-law's lead, Lara branded the media swirl around her comments 'fake news'.

'They’re completely misrepresenting my words and my support for furloughed workers. My heart goes out to all of the federal workers affected by the shutdown,' she tweeted, adding, 'We’re fighting every day to end this impasse!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
