«Breaking News» Grant Denyer recalls his wild night out at the strippers with his wife Chezzi

Grant Denyer, 41, has recalled his infamous first night at the strippers with his wife Chezzi, 38, nearly a decade ago.

Speaking on 2DayFM's Grant, Ed and Ash show on Friday, the father-of-two said he and Chezzi went to a Kings Cross strip-club with some colleagues where they ran into radio rival Kyle Sandilands and Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim. 

John gave Chezzi '$500 in stripper money' to enjoy herself and she started fanning herself with it, leaving the former club owner horrified.

'...John grabs her hands,' Grant recalled.

'[He] goes 'darling whatever you do, don't put that anywhere near your face or you'll end up in hospital!'

In 2017, former Sunrise producer Chezzi shared her own version of events.

'Let me paint the picture for you. I've been on the road for six weeks with the crew, we'd come back to Sydney, we saw Kyle,' Chezzi told the Kyle and Jackie O show.

'He said, 'Guys come with me to this strip joint, you'll have loads of fun'.

'So Kyle took Grant and I for our first experience at a strip club and Kyle gave me a massive wad of cash to put in the girls' knickers, which he thought was hilarious and so did I, I thought it was great. Grant was horrified.'

She said one of the dancers recognised Grant, much to his horror as he wanted to keep a low profile inside the venue.

'She looked over and said, 'Oh my God it's Grant Denyer. I'm so excited, I want to get into TV. Can you help me get into TV when I finish dancing?' and that was our strip club experience',' she said.

Chezzi and Grant tied the knot in 2010 and flew out on their honeymoon the day after the strip club outing.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
