«Breaking News» Former worker on Trump's campaign sues to have ALL its nondisclosure agreements declared illegal

A former campaign worker for President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit on Wednesday seeking to invalidate all of the non-disclosure and non-disparagement agreements that campaign workers were required to sign before joining the president's 2016 election campaign.

If the suit is successful, more campaign workers could feel free to speak publicly about the inner workings of the 2016 campaign apparatus, which has been the subject of immense public scrutiny after accusations that top campaign aides sought to work with Russia to influence the outcome of the election.

Jessica Denson has already attempted to sue the Trump campaign once before, over alleged gender discrimination. She claims her manager harassed her in a 'reign of terror' and management responded to her complaints by retaliating against her and banning her from Trump Tower.

The new challenge, filed with the American Arbitration Association, seeks class action status and may be open to all former and current campaign employees.

'These NDAs are extremely dangerous. I think we are in a dangerous time in our country,' Denson said Friday on CNN.

She said 'someone who signed them will have a lifetime of allegiance to everything related to Trump' and 'if they dare to do anything but praise and be a sycophant for this president ... their very livelihood will be threatened.'

'This is un-American. It's unconstitutional.'

Denson was hired as a phone bank and outreach organizer in the 2016 campaign before being promoted to lead a Hispanic outreach program.

Her attorney David Bowles told Reuters his client is asking to invalidate all of the agreements, "because they are wrong, and because they are sloppy."

The agreements "are retaliatory, unconscionable and ... suppress the free speech of campaign workers. They are sloppy because they would fail as a first-year law student drafting assignment,' he said.

The complaint alleges that the campaign only sought to enforce Denson's non-disclosure agreement because she filed a gender discrimination suit, which would be retaliation. Successful enforcement of the agreement could result in the former campaign worker being forced to pay large fines to the campaign.

Denson says when campaign CEO Steve bannon promoted her and put her in charge of a Hispanic outreach project, her previous manager harassed her and tried to steal her laptop; she claims that when she told senior campaign officials, they retaliated against her and had her banned from Trump Tower

Denson sued the campaign for $25 million in late 2017; the campaign, she says, responded by getting a $50,000 judgment against her for violating her NDA with her lawsuit filing

In an earlier arbitration proceeding, the campaign obtained a $50,000 judgment against her.

The non-disclosure agreements have already been contested. Earlier this month, Cliff Simms, a former White House employee who wrote a book about his time working in the administration, filed suit after the Trump campaign tried to enforce the non-disclosure agreement he had signed.

The Trump campaign also sought to enforce a non-disclosure agreement last year when former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman penned a book about her time inside the administration.

Anyone who worked for the campaign and then entered the government or remained in the private sector could face "grievous financial penalty" for simply "criticizing the sitting President of the United States," the complaint says.

When Denson first filed a $25 million lawsuit in December 2017, she said her coworkers tried to undermine and belittle her, cyber-bullied her and tried to steal her personal laptop.

She was never fired but claims campaign officials ignored her complaints.

Denson also claims the campaign conspired to keep her subordinate to A.J. Delgado, another leader in Hispanic outreach who later engaged in an extramarital affair with Trump communications director Jason Miller and had his child.

Denson alleges that Camilo Sandoval, a current Veterans Administration official who served as the Trump campaign's Director of Data Strategy and Voter Contact Operations, targeted her.

'He could not stand that a woman who he hired essentially to be a prop in his data department got a meaningful promotion and was demonstrating her value,' she contended Friday on CNN.

'And he launched an all-out assault on my character, he tried to steal my personal laptop, he tried to engage other staffers in this theft and hacking of my devices.'

She said after she complained to campaign managers, Chief Information Officer Jeff Dewit and human resources director Lucia Castellano 'completely retaliated against me, took away all the work I was doing, banned me from Trump Tower, told people to keep me away from Donald Trump and ultimately prevented me from being able to continue any kind of career or opportunity to serve in the administration.'

Denson said in 2017 that campaign CEO Steve Bannon had promoted her and given her a raise – until Delgado snatched the position away without explanation.

If the suit is successful,...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
