«Breaking News» Celebs Go Dating: Georgia Steel leaves fans dumbfounded after she confuses Ireland for Wales

She has signed up to the sixth series of Celebs Go Dating after splitting from her Love Island beau Sam Bird last year.

And Georgia Steel had already riled-up viewers with her lack of general knowledge as she headed on her first date with insurance agent, Aaron on Tuesday's show. 

The reality starlet, 22, left the 31-year-old stunned when she asked him what a sausage dog was, if there were sheep in Wales and confused it for Ireland, prompting fans to call her out for 'putting on an act'.

After turning up 40 minutes late, Georgia dropped a clanger when she asked Aaron if he took a boat from Wales to London.

She said: 'You’re from Wales, that’s an island from us, isn’t it? So how did you get across, on a boat?

With Aaron replying he took the train, Georgia went on to ask: 'Does the train go under the water? So you didn’t swim then?'

And when Aaron tried to gush about his minature daschund, the brunette beauty was left confused asking him what a sausage dog was. 

After explaining the breed, it wasn't long until viewers were left dumbfounded once again when she questioned if there were sheep in Wales after Aaron told her that his pooch runs after them in the fields. 

Fans were left unconvinced by her lack of knowledge, with many calling her 'fake' and 'annoying'. 

Confused: She said: 'You’re from Wales, that’s an island from us, isn’t it? So how did you get across, on a boat?

One wrote: 'Georgia Steel on Celebs Go Dating pretending she thinks Ireland is Wales and she doesn't know what a sausage dog is, girls who act thick are so f*****g annoying.' 

Another added: 'Celebs Go Dating just reminding everyone what a fake and annoying human being Georgia Steel is'. 

A third queried:' What has happened to Georgia? Seems like she's putting on an act. She didn't act like that on Love Island surely?'

A fourth viewer chimed: 'Why does Georgia pretend to be dumb to be funny.'

However others were left in stitches throughout her date, branding her conversation topics 'hilarious'. 

Despite Aaron's best efforts for a second date, Georgia turned him down branding him too 'cocky'. 

Megan McKenna, her TOWIE ex Pete Wicks, singer Kerry Katona and Georgia's former co-star Jack Fowler also make-up the series six cast. 

There has also been a revamp among the dating experts, with life coach Anna Williamson joining Paul Carrick Brunson as a matchmaker on the show.

Speaking ahead of her debut, Anna enthused: 'I am so excited to be joining Paul and Tom in the Celeb Dating Agency. I’ve been a big fan of the show since it launched.'

Celebs Go Dating continues weekdays on E4 at 9pm.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
