«Breaking News» Bebe Rexha reveals her father is refusing to speak with her

The provocative looks that have earned Bebe Rexha thousands of fans are not sitting well with the pop star's father.

On Monday, Bebe posted a text that she received from her father to her Instagram story, in which he said: 'You better stop posting stupid pornography because you make me sick.

'I can't take this anymore. Embarrassed to go in public everywhere I can go. I'm very upset with you, I can't believe it.'

Bebe then wrote in block letters over the text: 'My dad hates me.'

Flamur Rexha, 53, is an Albanian immigrant who came to the United States when he was 21, and settled in Brooklyn.

He worked as a scaffolder and his wife, who is the daughter of Macedonian immigrants, is a store employee at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

In a 2017 interview with the BBC, Bebe said that her father referred to singing as 'the devil's career.'

Bebe revealed last week that he father was angry with her after he saw the singer's latest video.

'My dad still isn’t talking to me after he saw my last hurrah music video,' wrote Bebe on February 17.

That video finds Bebe embracing both her angelic and devilish sides as she struts around in a series of scantily clad outfits.

She is also seen with a pussycat in the front of her underwear, writhing around in skin-tight latex pants and making out with multiple men and women in the video.

Her father was not the only one who was shocked by the video, and a number of people were quick to lash out at Bebe and denounce the singer.

'I am woman who is living unapologetically. I’m not gonna be made to feel bad about making ART. And yes art to me is my beautiful ass out, boys kissing boys, girls kissing girls, crosses on my body,' said Bebe in response to the uproar.

'IF A MALE RAPPER PUT OUT THAT VIDEO OUT IT WOULD BE FINE.'

She later doubled down on her statement over the weekend, and suggested that there was an even more controversial version in which a nun was seen smoking marijuana.

'The only person I would apologize to for this video is god if I offended him in any way. But I wrote this song with a pure heart,' said Bebe.

'And wanted to portray how We are all fighting our temptations. No one is perfect. Thats why we turn to god. God created sex. And I like sex.'

Bebe did not say when her father texted, but the timeline of the post suggests that it came after her big performance on Live With Kelly & Ryan on Monday.

The morning show broadcasts from The Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on the morning after the Oscars in what is often one of the top-rated episodes of the season.

That is where Bebe sang The Last Hurrah for the first time on TV, in a toned-down performance that was similar to the video and a bit shocking for 9am on a Monday.

Her Instagram story was short lived though once many began to lash out at her father.

'I should of never have posted that screenshot. I’m disappointed in myself. I was being sarcastic,' said Bebe.

'I understand where he is coming [from] as a father and that’s why the text was a bit harsh. I am upset that he still isn’t speaking to me, but he is still my father.'

She also told her fans that her father is not a 'bad guy.'

There was likely little that was going to get Bebe down on Monday however, as in addition to her appearance on Live she also made her debut on The Voice as one of the new coaches in the evening.

Bebe has said in the past that her father is incredibly traditional, and wanted her to settle down and find a husband.

He also encouraged her to take up the trumpet in her youth, which he said was a 'cooler' instrument.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
