«Breaking News» Shocking moment Good Samaritan black man helps his drunk neighbor get home and then gets arrested

This is the shocking moment a black man is arrested after helping his drunk neighbor home get back to his house.

A viral clip, posted on YouTube shows Samir Ahmed, 23, being put in handcuffs by cops in Montgomery County, Maryland as passers-by explain he was only trying to help his neighbor.

According to Ahmed, he had been locked out of his house on November 17 and was waiting for a lift when he noticed the man stumbling down the street.

Ahmed then offered to help him home after the man told him he only lived 10 doors down.

When he had finished dropping the man off he returned to the spot he had been waiting in and was soon confronted by two police officers.

The officers told him they had been called out to reports of an 'intoxicated man in need of medical attention' and reportedly became suspicious of Ahmed after smelling marijuana. 

'They then asked where the drunk guy lived and I refused to tell them which infuriated them,' Ahmed wrote alongside the 18-minute video of the confrontation.   

'She then said “I think you are the intoxicated one”. Which I just laughed off.' 

The clip, which was filmed by a neighbor, shows cops Ahmed being restrained after the search

After conducting a search, officers found marijuana but, according to Ahmed, it 'was such a small amount that I didn't even know I had it.'

The 23-year-old, who is the son of Ethiopian immigrants, doesn't deny having marijuana but told HuffPost 'without a doubt' that 'race played a factor' in his arrest. 

Ahmed was arrested despite the protestations of several of his neighbors and said that many of the people who live nearby witnessed the incident. 

The video has also caught the attention of actor D.L. Hughley, who shared it on Instagram.

It has since attracted a great deal of attention on social media, receiving over 20,000 likes on Instagram alone.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
