«Breaking News» Queen Maxima dons colourful dress for awards ceremony in Amsterdam

Queen Maxima commanded attention in a colourful dress as she attended an awards ceremony in Amsterdam.

The Dutch royal, 47, opted for a blue dress featuring red, yellow and pink stripes, along with a ruffled hem, for the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds awards today.

She teamed the bold frock with a pair of burgundy heels and a co-ordinating clutch bag, adding a pair of statement turquoise earrings to finish.

Wearing her blonde locks up in a chignon, she showed off her glowing complexion with a natural make-up look.

Maxima looked in high spirits as she arrived at the Muziekgebouw concert hall in the Dutch capital ahead of today's event.

She was attending the ceremony to present this year's Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, or Prince Bernhard Culturefund award to conductor and composer Reinbert de Leeuw.

The fund was originally set up by Prince Bernhard in London in 1940 during World War II, and now supports culture, nature and science in the Netherlands.

Maxima has had a busy schedule over the past few weeks, despite being forced to take time out at the start of the month due to a suspected intestinal infection.

Last week, the mother-of-three opted for a bold plum ensemble as she and husband King Willem-Alexander welcomed the Singaporean President Halimah Yacob to the Netherlands.

It came after she welcomed the Austrian president Alexander Van der Bellen and his wife Doris Schmidauer to the country, on a separate visit.

Last month, Maxima and Willem-Alexander enjoyed a state visit to the UK, where they attended a state banquet hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

However, the couple did not join a host of other European royals in attending Prince Charles' 70th birthday dinner at Buckingham Palace earlier this month.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
